07/11/2026 Metropolitan Joseph celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Assumption Cathedraltranslated

On July 11, on the feast of the Three-Handed Icon of the Mother of God, the day of remembrance of the Venerables Sergius and Herman, the Valaam wonderworkers, Metropolitan Joseph of Ivanovo-Voznesensk and Vichuga celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Assumption Cathedral in the city of Ivanovo.

Metropolitan Joseph read a prayer for Holy Rus' and led the glorification of the Most Holy Theotokos, St. Sergius and Herman of Valaam.

Concelebrating with the Bishop were Hegumen Vitaly (Utkin), Hieromonk Macarius (Markish), Deacon Kirill Shtanin and Hierodeacon Andrey (Datsko).

The apostle was read by Hierodeacon Andrei (Datsko).

The Gospel was read by Deacon Kirill Shtanin.

The liturgical chants were performed by a choir under the direction of Hieromonk John (Pletmintsev).

Reader Ilya Novikov, Andrey Filippov and Alexander Filippov served as subdeacons.
