On August 10, a missionary service was held in the restored Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the former village of Kuzmino, Volga region. Prayer service with akathist to St. Nicholas and a memorial service for those buried in the local cemetery was celebrated by Abbot Philaret (Soloviev) together with the clergy of the Resurrection (old) Church of the city of Vichuga.

Lay people from the city of Ivanovo, Privolzhsky, Vichugsky and Furmanovsky districts prayed during the service. A joint meal took place, prepared by a resident of the nearby village of Gorki-Chirikovy G.K. Chernyshova, who together with her husband are organizing work to restore the St. Nicholas Church from the ruins.
