On the evening of August 9, on the eve of the celebration of the Shuya-Smolensk Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, Bishop John of Shuya and Teikovsky and Bishop Matthew of Akhtubinsky and Enotaevsky led an all-night vigil in the Resurrection Cathedral of the city of Shuya.

The archpastors were concelebrated by clergy from the Shuya diocese.

The diaconal rank was headed by Deacon Alexander Volov.

Liturgical chants were performed by the Bishop's Choir of the Resurrection Cathedral.
