On July 9, on the day of the celebration of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, Bishop John of Shuisky and Teikovsky performed monastic vows for the inhabitants of the Nikolo-Shartomsky Monastery with the naming of the names of Seraphim, Vladimir, Zosima and John.

Concelebrating with the Bishop was the abbot of the monastery, Archimandrite Philip (Ponomarchuk) and his brethren in holy orders.

The rite of monastic tonsure was performed in the monastery church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

Bine, patru deodată e lucru mare. Numele Sераfim dat chiar de ziua Тихвинской иконы mi s-a părut și mie potrivit, parcă legat direct de Maica Domnului. Să le dea Domnul tărie să țină rânduiala până la capăt.

Good to see four men taking the step together in the Kazan church. The name Seraphim on the feast of the Тихвин icon does feel right. May God give them strength to stay the course.
