On July 9, on the day of the celebration of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, Bishop John of Shuisky and Teikovsky celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Resurrection Cathedral.

Concelebrating with the Bishop was Priest Guriy Chernov, rector of the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in the city of Shuya.

The diaconal rank was headed by Deacon Alexander Volov.

I agree, it does feel right that Bishop Ioann served at the Resurrection Cathedral for the Tikhvin icon feast. I wonder if they used the cathedral’s own copy or brought one over from St. Peter and Paul like they sometimes do for big days. Thanks for mentioning Katarzyna and Maxim’s question.
