On July 8, on the feast of the holy faithful Prince Peter and Princess Fevronia of Murom, celebrated as the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, festive celebrations were held on Victory Square, near the church in honor of the Great Martyr George the Victorious, which is the main missionary church of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk diocese, which are part of the All-Russian Family Parade.

There was an exhibition dedicated to pre-revolutionary large families of clergy and laity. For example, Nikolai Terentyevich Shchapov, who was the headman of the current Assumption Cathedral for 25 years, had 15 children, whom his wife Sofia gave birth to. The Shchapovs lived their married life together for 53 years. The conversation based on the materials of the exhibition was conducted by the chairman of the Missionary Department of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Diocese, Priest John Lvov.

Priest John Lvov led the festive prayer service, at which he was co-served by the diocesan missionary, head of the department for relations of the Church with society and the media of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk diocese, Hieromonk Macarius (Markish), and the assistant to the dean of the Ivanovo region for missionary service, Deacon Alexander Lityaev. Pekne, že spomínali rodinu Ščapovcov – 15 detí a 53 rokov spolu, to je naozaj niečo. U nás v Svidníku by taká výstava tiež bola užitočná, lebo ľudia často zabúdajú, ako sa kedysi žilo. Ďakujem za peknú reportáž.

نعم، عائلة شابوف هذه فعلاً تُذكّرنا كيف كانوا يعيشون. 15 ولد وبنت و53 سنة زواج، ما شاء الله. عندنا في زحلة كان في عائلات كبيرة كمان، بس اليوم الناس صاروا يخافون حتى من ثلاثة.

Интересно про Щаповых — 15 детей и 53 года вместе, это же целая жизнь. У нас в Нью-Йорке на приходе тоже есть многодетные семьи, но таких примеров из прошлого почти не показывают. Спасибо, что выставку сделали, полезно напомнить.

Цікаво, що саме Щапови з 15 дітьми і 53 роками шлюбу стали головним прикладом на виставці. У нас в Харкові на парафії теж згадували подібні родини священиків до революції, але рідко з такими цифрами. Добре, що отець Іоанн Львов провів бесіду прямо на площі.

У нас в Новосибирске тоже показывали похожую выставку про дореволюционные семьи, но про Щаповых с их 15 детьми и 53 годами брака я впервые услышала. Хорошо, что отец Иоанн Львов прямо на площади беседовал, а не только в храме. Такие цифры действительно заставляют задуматься, как раньше жили.

Kod nas u Banjoj Luci retko viđamo ovakve izložbe, a ova o Ščapovima sa 15 dece i 53 godine braka baš je nešto konkretno. Hvala što su je postavili baš na trgu kod hrama svetog Georgija, a ne samo unutra. Otac Jovan Lvov je lepo uradio što je odmah tu i pričao o njima.
