July 7, on the eve of the Day of Remembrance of the Blgv. book Peter, in the monasticism of David, and Prince. Fevronia, in monasticism Euphrosyne, Murom miracle workers, Bishop Hilarion of Kineshma and Palekh performed a polyeleos service in the Trinity-Assumption Cathedral in the city of Kineshma.

Concelebrating with the archpastor was the sacristan of the cathedral, Priest John Dubrovin, and the clergy of the cathedral.

Thanks for posting this. Bishop Ilarion serving with Fr. John Dubrovin and the cathedral clergy the night before Saints Peter and Fevronia’s day always feels right—those two are the patrons of real married life. I lit a candle for my own marriage at Vespers last year on their feast; it’s good to see Kineshma keeping the tradition strong.

It seems good to me that Bishop Hilarion worked with Father John Dubrovin and the rest of the cathedral. Saints Peter and Fevronia always remind me that marriage needs patience and simple daily love, like the bread we knead every Saturday.

Good service in Kineshma. In Samara, we also always serve polyeleos on Peter and Fevronia, and especially a lot of people come - everyone asks for family harmony. I wonder, was there a prayer service with an akathist in the Trinity-Assumption Cathedral after the all-night vigil or just a polyeleos?

Good service by Bishop Hilarion with Father Ioannis Dubrovin at Kinesma. Saints Peter and Fevronia remind us that marriage lasts with simple daily patience, as Zoe also says. In Samara that Stepan says, here in Athens after the chandelier we usually put a small lead for the couples, interesting if they did it there too.

In Kineshma, after the polyeleos, we didn’t have an akathist, only lithium and dismissal. In Samara, do many young people come to this day, or are it mainly those who are already older?

We had a quiet polyeleos here too last year, just like in Kineshma—no akathist after, only the litia. Bishop Ilarion serving with Fr. John Dubrovin always seems fitting for Peter and Fevronia. Maria, in our parish the young families do come, especially the ones with little kids hoping for that daily patience the saints showed.

We had a similar quiet polyeleos in our London parish last summer, no akathist either, just the litia and a short talk afterwards. It does feel right when the bishop serves with the keyar like that for Peter and Fevronia.
