04.11.26 Missionary events in the villages of Yuryevskoye and Nikolskoyetranslated
On November 4, on the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Day of National Unity, the assistant rector of the Church of St. George the Victorious in the village of Yuryevskoye and the Church in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Nikolskoye, Ivanovo district, alternately walked through the streets of both villages. In each of them, he held conversations with residents about the history of National Unity Day - about how faith became a triumph that united the Russian people in the face of a threat to the Fatherland. Commemorative booklets prepared by the Synodal Missionary Department and replicated by the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Diocese were distributed. They briefly outline the key milestones in the history of the holiday, the spiritual significance of the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the role of national unity in fateful moments in Russian history.
