Three Songs: For the laws of the fathers:
Having not preserved the inheritance of our fathers, we were enslaved by the sinful law: but by stretching out Your hand on the divine cross, You gave freedom to them all: which we bring to You by faith in the days saints, have mercy on us now, O most merciful One, who extol You forever.
Trisong: For the laws of the fathers...
Without preserving the heritage of our fathers, we enslaved ourselves by sin to the law, but You stretched out Your palms on the divine Cross and gave them all freedom. We remind You of Him with faith on holy days: have mercy on us, O Merciful One, who exalt You throughout all ages!
