From my youth I left all the things of life, red and stucco, / you diligently followed Him who called you, O Reverend, / and on the frame we take up the Cross of your Lord, in fasting, Father, you exhausted your body thou art, / so that the All-merciful Lord, O blessed Athanasius, will arrange for the good of the shepherd of His sheep. / Pray to Christ the God of forgiveness of sins to grant // to those who honor holy love your memory.
Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages, Amen.
Like the Virgin and one among wives, You, who without seed gave birth to God's flesh,/ we please all, giving birth to humanity:/ For fire has taken up residence in you of the Divinity,/ and, like a Child, you feed on milk Creator and Lord./ Thus, the angelic and human race, we worthily glorify Thy most holy Nativity/ and in accordance with Ti’s cry:/ pray to Christ the God to grant forgiveness of sins// to those who worship by faith in Thy most holy Nativity.
