As you are blessed and righteous, / for the love of Christ God you accepted death from your own, Yaropolche, / passion-bearing saint, faithful prince of Volyn, / and you shed your blood, / as first of all, your relatives and passion-bearers, God-blessed Boris and Gleb, / whose feat was piously jealous, / you earnestly cried out to the Lord: / grant me death, like your brothers mine,/ and I will wash away my sins with my blood/ and I will be delivered from this futile and rebellious world./ Moreover, today we have come together in your memory,/ with faith and love we glorify Lord,/ who strengthened you in the struggle of vain death,/ like a gentle lamb,/ you were slain by a servant,/ and you yourself offered an immaculate sacrifice to the Lord,/ Pray to him, ever-blessed one, / to save your Fatherland // and to save your sons of Russia.
