Let's pray to the Lord.

Lord, have mercy.

Bless, Lord, the fruit of this new vine, with the blessing of the air, and the drops of rain, and the silence of time, in this most ripest hour of favor to come: may it be in us from that birth of the vine that we partake in joy, and bring you the gift for the cleansing of sins, in the sacred and holy body of Thy Christ, with which we are blessed Thou art with Thy Most Holy and Good and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages.

Be aware that where grapes are not found, apples are brought to the church on this day, and this prayer is said for those who bring the first fruits of vegetables:

Master, Lord our God, from Yours to bring to You according to the commandment and granting of Your eternal blessings, grant this reward, even the widow according to the strength of the offering was accepted with pleasure, accept and now brought from Your servant [name], and in Your eternal treasures vouchsafe this reward: grant to him also Your worldly blessings abundant perception, with all that is beneficial to it. For Your name is blessed, and Your Kingdom, of the Father and the Son of the Holy Spirit, is glorified, now and ever and unto ages of ages.
