When Thou didst descend to death, O Life Immortal, then Hades was destroyed by Thy divine nature. When Thou didst rise from the dead, having conquered the depths, all the heavenly powers cried out: Life-giver, Christ our God, Glory be to Thee.
O Theotokos
O Theotokos, above all understanding, most glorious in your mysteries sealed with purity and your preserved virginity, as the Mother of God you are truly known, who gave birth to the true God, pray for us to be saved.
