When Thou didst descend to death, O Life Immortal, then didst Thou slay Hades with the splendor of Thy divinity. When Thou didst also raise up the dead from the depths, all the powers of heaven cried out: Life-giver, Christ our God, glory to Thee.

O Theotokos

O most glorious Theotokos, sealed with the mystery of purity and keeping the virginity, truly known as the Mother of the true God, pray that our souls may be saved.
