Enlighten my eyes, O Christ God, lest I fall asleep into death, lest my enemy say: I have strengthened myself against him.

Enlighten my eyes, O Christ God, lest I fall asleep in the sleep of death, lest my enemy say: I have strengthened myself against him.

Glory: O God, protector of my soul, as I walk in the midst of many nets; deliver me from them and save me, O Good One, as the Lover of Mankind.

Glory: Be the protector of my soul, O God, for I walk in the midst of many snares; deliver me from them, O Good One, and save me as a Lover of Humanity.

And now, Mother of God: The most glorious Mother of God, and the Most Holy Angel of saints, let us ceaselessly sing with our hearts and lips, confessing this Mother of God, as having truly given birth to God for us embodied, and constantly praying for our souls.

And now: Let us sing to the Glorious Mother of God and the most holy Angels without ceasing, confessing Her with our hearts and lips as the Theotokos, for truly She gave birth to God incarnate and prays unceasingly for our souls.

Kiss your cross too, and cross your place from head to foot, and likewise from all countries, saying:
