O Soul/Spirit of God, Life unending,
Through Thee we are saved from death's dark ending.
Always by Thy power, not suddenly in delusion,
We are led to the light, where compunction and tenderness are found.

Thou art a stranger in this world's creation,
A spectacle of glory, not a mere creature's station.
By Thine guile, we are drawn to Thee,
Ever with mercy, righteousness, and divine vision.

For Thou art the Glory, the Life Eternal,
In Thee we find our true calling, Thy hand ever strong and gentle.
Thus we praise Thee, O Lord, with hearts of humility and contrition,
That we may see Thy face in this fleeting moment, on high where Thee we honor.

O Soul and Spirit of the Lord and the Spirit,
having been born twice for our salvation,
we hymn Thee with faith and we bow down:
For Thou didst will to take flesh by Thy own will,
and to suffer death,
and to rise again gloriously in Thy own Resurrection.

O Theotokos,

Rejoice at the door that cannot be entered: rejoice O wall and roof sheltering those who come to Thee. Rejoice, unapproachable resting-place, and inaccessibly pure, giving birth by thy flesh to Thy Creator and God: praying, do not disdain those singing and bowing down before Thy feet.
