O Soul, O Spirit, of God the Word,
Thou art the image of Thy Creator's face.
Through Thee, O Lord, man was made like Thee;
Thy life is our life, and Thou art our Life Eternal.
For Thou didst descend into the depths of death,
And by Thine own self didst trample down death with a rod.
Thou didst rise again from the dead, O Life of all!
Grant us to see Thy glory, O Lord, for Thou art merciful.
O Soul and Spirit of the Lord and of the Spirit,
having been born for our salvation twice-born,
we hymn Thee and bow down to Thee:
For Thou didst will to take flesh by Thy own good pleasure,
and to bear death, and to rise again gloriously in Thy own Resurrection.
O Theotokos,
Rejoice at the door that cannot be passed through: rejoice O wall and roof sheltering those who come to Thee. Rejoice, unapproachable harbor, and inaccessibly pure, giving birth by thy flesh to Thy Creator and God: praying, do not refuse them who sing to Thee and prostrate themselves before Thy feet.
