O Soul/Spirit of God, Life unending,
Through Thee we are saved from death's darkening.
Always by Thy power, not in vain nor suddenly,
We are enlightened with the light of Thy mercy.
For Thou art our Hope and our Salvation;
Thou art the Way to the Father's Kingdom.
Stranger and foreigner, yet ever near,
Thy glory is revealed in every creature.
In Thee we find compunction and tenderness of heart,
Deluded by spiritual deceit, we seek Thy truth.
Spectacle of Thy mercy, Thou art our only joy;
Through Thee, O Lord, we are made whole and free.
O Soul and Spirit of the Lord and God,
From those born for our salvation,
We hymn with faith and bow down:
For Thou, O Lord, by Thy flesh didst will to come into the tomb,
And didst bear death,
And didst rise again gloriously from the dead.
O Theotokos,
Rejoice at the door that cannot be entered: rejoice O wall and roof of those who come to Thee. Rejoice, unapproachable resting-place, and inaccessibly pure, giving birth by thy flesh to Thy Creator and God: praying, do not refuse them who sing to Thee and fall down before Thy throne.
