At the appointed hours of the stichiras are sung, the tone is one.
Thee, O Incarnate Saviour of Christ, and Theotokos not having been separated from Him, in Thy hymns we glorify Thee with voice: For Thou didst take death by Thy side, as Lover of mankind, and didst cast down the gates of hell, and after three days didst rise again, saving our souls.
And now hymns according to the alphabet.
Through thy pierced ribs, O Life-giving One, thou hast freely given to all the fount of life and salvation; by thy flesh thou didst receive death, granting us immortality: having entered into the grave for us, thou didst set us free, raising thee with glory unto thyself, O God. For this we cry: Lover of mankind, glory be to thee.
Strangely is Thy Passion, and therein the loving-kindness of God doth abide: for having ensnared Him, and having raised up with Thee ancient captives, Thou hast received glory, O Lover of Mankind; therefore didst Thou overthrow hell, and to us, Thy worshippers, grant the cleansing of sins: for Thou alone art full of goodness.
For Thy sake, O Lord, didst Thou take upon Thee a body and arise from the dead on the third day, healing our fleshly passions and raising up to new life the most cruel of mankind who loved men, and saved us.
Glory, and now, O Theotokos:
Temple and door are Thou, chambers and treasury of the Church, double all-holy, by whom I am saved, O Jesus Christ, in darkness sleeping Thou didst visit, O Sun of righteousness, to enlighten, as one created according to Thy image by Thine own hand. Therefore all-praised, though with boldness Thou didst abide near Him, unceasingly pray for our souls.
