On the Sabbath at the Great Vespers, I called upon the Lord, and psalms of resurrection were sung.

By Thy holy Word, O Lord, Thou hast confounded the devil, and by Thy Resurrection Thou hast dulled the sharpness of sin, and hast raised us from the gates of death: we glorify Thee, O Only-Begotten.

Resurrection giving to the human race:
For thou hast bowed down in prayer:
Thou didst terrify those princes of hell,
And didst take up the gates of weeping.
For entering into the King's glory,
Jesus Christ spoke to them who were in bonds, saying:
"Go forth": and to them who were in darkness, the doors were opened.

Blessed Wonder, co-worker of the invisible, having suffered in the flesh for man's love, hast risen immortal. Come, let us worship Thy grace: for by the blessedness of thy compunction thou didst escape from spiritual deception, and being skilled in the three Persons of one God to sing.

And these stichera of the Annolation, of the same tone.

Evening prayer we offer thee, O Unending Light, at the close of the fleeting day, because in the mirror of thy flesh didst thou appear to the world, and even to hell didst descend, there shattering the darkness that was there, and by thy resurrection didst show forth light: O Giver of Light, glory be to thee.

O Ruler of salvation of our God, the glorified Jesus Christ: for He having raised up the dead, hath made the world free from delusion. The angelic host rejoices, the demons flee from delusion, Adam riseth up from his fall, and the devil is confounded.

Whom the Guardian taught in the school of lawlessness, cover His rising, and receive the silverlings, and say to those who sleep: He that was dead is stolen out of the grave; who saw it, who heard it? More than anointed and naked, leaving behind a burial shroud in the tomb. Do not be deceived by the Jews; learn their sayings prophesied, and understand: for this is truly the Saviour of the world, and almighty.

Lord, Thou who dost deliver from the pit, and hast overcome death, enlighten us by Thy gracious light, and have mercy upon us.

Glory, and now, O Theotokos:

In the dark sea, unbridable brides: there was written an image sometimes: then Moses, divider of waters; here however, Gabriel, minister of wonders. Then in depths he journeyed immortal Ilia: now hath Emmanuel's mother borne without seed two. The sea remained impassable after Ilia's passage: immaculate by conception remained not-Joachim's. Thou art He, and before Him, have mercy on us.
