On the Sabbath at the Great Vespers, to the Lord I cried out, stichera of the Resurrection.

By Thy holy Word, O Lord, Thou hast confounded the devil, and by Thy Resurrection Thou hast dulled the sharpness of sin, and hast raised us from the gates of death: we glorify Thee, only-begotten.

Risen Thou, giving life to the human race:
Forasmuch as with bowed knees we beseech Thee:
Thou dost terrify these kings of hell, and hast taken up the gates of weeping.
For when He entereth into the King's glory, Christ saith to them that are in bonds, Go forth: and to them that are in darkness, be opened.

Blessed Wonder, co-worker of the invisible, having suffered in the flesh for man's love, hast risen immortal. Come, let us worship Thy grace: for by the blessedness of thy deliverance from delusion, thou hast learned to sing with three Persons of One God.

And these stichera of the Annoyatlivye, of the same tone.

Evening prayer we offer thee, O Evening Light, at the end of the ages, because in the mirror of the flesh Thou didst appear to the world, and even below hell didst descend, there also shattering the darkness that was there, and with a word of light didst show Thyself: O Giving of Light, glory to Thee.

Blessed be the Saviour of our beginning, the glorious Jesus Christ: for by Him the dead were raised to life, and the world was delivered from delusion. The angelic host rejoices, the demons flee from delusion, Adam rises from his fall, and the devil is confounded.

O Lord, who in custody was taught by the lawless, cover the Theotokos' uprising, and receive the silver vessels, and say to those sleeping, "He that is dead was stolen from the grave." Who saw it, who heard it, when the dead was stolen, more than anointed and naked, leaving behind a burial garment in the grave; do not be deceived by the Jews, but understand their sayings prophesied, for this is truly the Saviour of the world, and all-powerful.

O Lord, Thou who art the Deliverer from captivity and the Subduer of death, save us by Thy mercy, enlightening the world with Thy glorious light, have mercy on us.

Glory, and honour, now, to the Theotokos:

In the dark sea, unbridable brides: there was written a figure sometimes: then Moses, divider of waters; here however Gabriel, minister of wonders. Then in depths he journeyed immortal Ilia: now hath Emmanuel's virgins borne without seed. The sea remained impassable after Ilia's passage: immaculate by conception remained Emmanuel's virgins, remaining incorruptible. Thou who art and wast before, show us Thy face as a man, but have mercy on us.
