On the Sabbath at the Great Vespers, to the Lord I cried out, stichera of the Resurrection.

By Thy holy Word, O Lord, Thou hast confounded the devil, and by Thy Resurrection Thou hast dulled the sharpness of sin, and hast raised us from the gates of death: we glorify Thee, O Only-Begotten.

Risen Thou, giving life to the human race:
Because Thou didst teach on thy knees:
Thou didst terrify these kings of hell, and didst take upon thee the gates of weeping.
For entering in, O King, into the glory of Jesus Christ,
Thou dost speak to them that are in bonds, saying: Go forth;
And to them that are in darkness, Thou openest.

Blessed Wonder, co-worker of the invisible, having suffered in the flesh for man's love, hast risen immortal. Come, let us worship Thy grace: for by the grace of the delusion thou didst deliver thyself, and being skilled in the three Persons of One God to sing.

And these stichera of the Annoyatlivye, of the same tone.

Evening prayer we offer thee, O Unending Light, at the end of the ages, because in the mirror of the flesh Thou didst descend into the world, and even to hell beneath, there shattering the power of darkness, and by Thy resurrection revealing light: O Giver of Light, glory be to Thee.

Begging of the Prince of Peace our Lord Jesus Christ: for by Him death was overcome, and the world deceived by delusion was saved. The angelic host rejoices, the demons flee from deception, Adam rises up, the devil is put to shame.

O Lord, who in custody was taught by the lawless, cover Thy Son's uprising, and receive the silverlings, and say to those sleeping: "He that is dead was stolen from the grave." Who hath seen, who hath heard, when the dead was stolen from the grave, more than anointing and nakedness, leaving behind in the grave a burial garment? Do not be deceived by the Jews; learn their sayings prophesied, and understand: "This is truly the Saviour of the world, this is almighty."

O Lord, Thou who art the Plunderer of the prisoners and the Death that hast overcome, save us by Thy mercy, enlightening the world with Thy glorious light, have mercy on us.

Glory, and honour, now, to the Theotokos:

In the dark sea, unbridable brides, there was written a likeness sometimes: there Moses, divider of waters; here however, Gabriel, minister of wonders. Then in depths he journeyed immortal Ilia: now Jesus hath given birth without seed. The sea, after passing through Ilia, remained impassable: immaculate by circumcision Elizabeth, remained uncorrupted. Thou who art, and wast before, show us Thy face as a man, but have mercy on us.
