On the Sabbath at the Great Vespers, to the Lord I cried out, stichera of the Resurrection.

By Thy holy Word, O Lord, Thou hast humbled the devil, and by Thy Resurrection Thou hast dulled his deadly sting, and hast delivered us from the gates of death: we glorify Thee, only-begotten.

Risen Thou, giving life to the human race:
Forasmuch as Thou dost lead in prayer upon thy knees:
Thou hast terrified these kings of hell, and hast taken up the gates of weeping.
For when the King entereth into His glory,
He speaketh unto them that are in bonds, saying: Go forth;
and to them that are in darkness, let light be opened.

Blessed Wonder, co-worker of the invisible, having suffered in the flesh for love of man, hast risen immortal. Come, let us worship Thy grace: for by the grace of delusion Thou didst deliver Thyself, and having been baptized in three Persons of One God, didst sing praisefully.

And these stichera of the Annolation, of the same tone.

Evening prayer we offer thee, O Unending Light, at the end of the ages, because in the mirror of the flesh Thou didst appear to the world, and even below into hell, there shattering the power of darkness, Thou didst show forth light by Thy Resurrection: O Giving of Light, glory be to Thee.

Blessed be the Prince of salvation, the glorious Jesus Christ: for by Him the dead were raised to life, and the world was delivered from delusion. The angelic host rejoices, the demons flee from delusion, Adam rises up from his fall, and the devil is confounded.

Who hath learned from the custody of the lawless, cover the uprising of Thy Christ, and receive the silverlings, and say to those who sleep: He that was laid in the grave is stolen forth; more than anointed and naked, leaving behind him his burial garment in the sepulcher. Do not be deceived by the Jews; learn their sayings prophesied, and understand: for this is truly the Saviour of the world, and almighty.

O Lord, Thou who art the Deliverer from the bonds of captivity, and the Subduer of death, save us by Thy mercy, enlightening the world with Thy glorious light, have mercy on us.

Glory, and now, O Theotokos:

In the dark sea, unbridgable bridesmaids wrote an image sometimes: there Moses, divider of waters; here however Gabriel, minister of wonders. Then deep he journeyed immortally Īlis: now however Jesus was born without seed. The sea after passing through Īlie remained impassable: immaculate by circumcision became Emmanuel, remaining incorruptible. Thou, and before Thou, reveal Thyself as a man, but forgive us.
