On the Sabbath at the Great Vespers, to the Lord I cried out, stichera of the Resurrection.

By Thy holy Word, O Lord, Thou hast confounded the devil, and by Thy Resurrection Thou hast dulled the sinful sting, and hast raised us from the gates of death: we glorify Thee, only-begotten.

Risen Thou, giving life to the human race:
Forasmuch as Thou dost lead in prayer on bended knee:
Thou hast terrified these kings of hell, and taken up the gates of weeping.
For when the King entereth into His glory,
He speaketh to them that are in bonds, saying: Go forth;
and to them that are in darkness, let light arise.

Blessed Wonder, co-worker of the invisible, having suffered in the flesh for man's love, hast risen immortal. Come, let us worship Thy grace: for by the delusion Thou didst deliver Thyself, and having become skilled in three Persons of One God to sing praise.

And these stichera of the Annoyatlivye, of the same tone.

Evening prayer we offer thee, O Unending Light, at the end of the ages, because in the mirror of the flesh Thou didst appear to the world, and even to hell didst descend, there shattering the power of darkness, and by Thy resurrection showed light: O Giver of Light, glory to Thee.

Begging of the Prince of Peace, the glorified Jesus Christ: for by Thee the dead were raised to life, and the world was delivered from spiritual deception. The angelic host rejoices, the demons flee from deceit, man has risen from his fall, and the devil is confounded.

Who hath been taught by the custody of the lawless, cover the uprising of Christ, and receive the silverlings, and say to them that are sleeping: He that was laid in the grave is stolen forth; who hath seen it? Who hath heard it? When was the dead man stolen forth? More than that, anointed and naked, leaving behind him his burial garment in the grave. Do not be deceived by the Jews; learn their sayings prophesied, and understand: thus He is indeed the true Saviour of the world, and almighty.

O Lord, Thou who art the Deliverer from captivity and the Subduer of death, save us by Thy mercy, enlightening the world with Thy glorious light, have mercy on us.

Glory, and honour, now, to the Theotokos:

In the dark sea, unapproachable brides, a likeness was written sometimes: there Moses, divider of waters; here however, Gabriel, minister of wonders. Then in depths he journeyed immortal Ilia: now however, Emmanuel's birth without seed. The sea remained impassable after Ilia's passage: immaculate by circumcision Emanuileve remained uncorrupted. Thou who art and wast before, as a man, yet have mercy on us.
