O Soul, be mindful of life, for thou art created by God and made in His image.
Always remember that life is not a delusion but a gift from the Lord.
Suddenly, without warning, death may come; therefore, let compunction fill thy heart.
Stranger to this world, seek the Kingdom of Heaven where true glory abides.
The spectacle of this creation is fleeting; let not deceit lead thee astray.
Ever mindful of God's mercy, strive for righteousness and His holy will.
Today, lift up thine arm in faith, trusting in the right hand of the King.
For as the Spirit breathes life into all, so may He guide thy spirit to eternal life.
Собезнача́льное сло́во ѻ҆ц҃ꙋ̀ и҆ дх҃ови, ѿ дв҃ы ро́ждшеесѧ на сп҃се́нїе на́ше, воспои́мъ вѣ́рнїи и҆ поклони́мсѧ: ꙗ҆́кѡ бл҃говолѝ пло́тїю взы́ти на крⷭ҇тъ, и҆ сме́рть претерпѣ́ти, и҆ воскр҃си́ти ᲂу҆ме́ршыѧ сла́внымъ воскрⷭ҇нїемъ свои́мъ.
O Soul and Spirit of the Lord and God,
From those born for our salvation,
We hymn with faith and bow down:
For Thou, O Lord, by Thy flesh didst will to come into the grave,
And didst bear death,
And didst rise again gloriously in Thy own resurrection.
Бг҃оро́диченъ:
O Theotokos,
Ра́дꙋйсѧ две́ре гдⷭ҇нѧ непроходи́маѧ: ра́дꙋйсѧ стѣно̀ и҆ покро́ве притека́ющихъ къ тебѣ̀. ра́дꙋйсѧ, неѡбꙋрева́емое приста́нище, и҆ неискꙋсобра́чнаѧ, ро́ждшаѧ пло́тїю творца̀ твоего̀ и҆ бг҃а: молѧ́щи не ѡ҆скꙋдѣва́й ѡ҆ воспѣва́ющихъ, и҆ кла́нѧющихсѧ ржⷭ҇твꙋ̀ твоемꙋ̀.
Rejoice at the door that cannot be entered: rejoice O wall and roof sheltering those who come to Thee. Rejoice, unapproachable abode, and unassailable, giving birth by thy flesh to Thy Creator and God: praying, do not withhold from those who sing hymns to Thee and prostrate themselves before Thy hand.
