Hail Thee in the timpani and in the face,
Hail Thee in the strings and in the organ.
Гдⷭ҇и, ве́лїе и҆ стра́шно є҆́сть / твоегѡ̀ воскрⷭ҇нїѧ та́инство: / та́кѡ бо произше́лъ є҆сѝ ѿ гро́ба, / ꙗ҆́кѡ жени́хъ ѿ черто́га, / сме́ртїю сме́рть разрꙋши́вый, / да а҆да́ма свободи́ши. / тѣ́мже на нб҃сѣ́хъ а҆́гг҃ли ликовствꙋ́ютъ, / и҆ на землѝ человѣ́цы сла́вѧтъ, / є҆́же на на́съ бы́вшее бл҃гоꙋтро́бїе твоѐ, чл҃вѣколю́бче.
O Lord, most dreadful is Thy mystery of resurrection:
for Thou hast passed forth from the grave,
as Bridegroom from the foe,
by death thou didst destroy death,
and didst set free Adam.
Wherefore on high the angels do rejoice,
and on earth men glorify,
that good-will toward us which Thou didst show in Thy lovingkindness.

Ѽ пребеззако́ннїи і҆ꙋде́є, / гдѣ̀ сꙋ́ть печа̑ти и҆ сре́брєницы, ꙗ҆̀же да́сте во́инѡмъ; / не ѹ҆кра́дено бы́сть сокро́вище, / но воскр҃се ꙗ҆́кѡ си́ленъ: / са́ми же посрами́стесѧ ѿве́ргшїисѧ хрⷭ҇та̀ гдⷭ҇а сла́вы, / пострада́вша и҆ погребе́нна, и҆ воскрⷭ҇ша и҆з̾ ме́ртвыхъ: / томꙋ̀ поклони́мсѧ.
-fashionably lawless Jews, /
where are seals and money-changers, /
there give to soldiers; /
not stolen was the treasure, /
but risen by strength: /
themselves however were disgraced, having cast off the Lord of glory, /
suffering and buried, and rose from the dead: /
unto Him we shall bow.

Sealed was the tomb, / as thou wast betrayed by the Jews, / watchmen were set, and banners placed, / through the closed door passed the King; / even as though dead, Thou presentedst Thyself, / even as though to God, Thou didst bow, singing with us: / Glory to Thee, O Lord, and to Thy Resurrection.

O most sweet Saviour,
Whose precious tomb
The myrrh-bearing women weeping sought,
And the dead one bearing,
Desiring to anoint Thy holy body:
They found instead a light-bearer sitting on the stone,
Who spoke and said:
What ye weep, from the rib of which life for the world flowed;
What ye seek as though death in the grave of the immortal;
Go hence and tell the disciples,
The famous One risen to universal joy,
By Whom also Thou hast enlightened us,
Grant us cleansing and great prayer.

Thou, O True Life, dost keep man, O Life of men, Thy life Thou hast given, after rising by the enlightenment,
Thou didst show Thyself fearful to them that seek the Spirit to see:
But Thou didst still the tumult in their souls, showing their hands and feet.
Therefore for unbelievers also, by partaking and remembrance of instruction,
Thou didst overturn them unto us, that they might understand the writings:
And having promised the sacred oblation, and blessing them,
Thou didst descend into heaven.
Wherefore with them we bow down to Thee, O Lord, Thy glory.

Theotokos, the Gloria begins: Blessed art thou, O Lady, / for by thy womb didst thou enwrap Him who came forth from the abyss of captivity, / Adam was raised up, / the oath was broken, / Eve was set free, / death was destroyed, and we have hoped. / Therefore, singing with joy, we cry: / Blessed is Jesus Christ / Who willed it thus, glory to Thee.

Glory to Thee who hast shown us light.
