Hail Thee in the timpani and face,
Hail Thee in the strings and organ's grace.

O Lord, most dreadful is Thy mystery of resurrection: for Thou hast passed forth from the grave, as the Bridegroom from the foe, by death conquering death, and freeing Adam. Wherefore on high the angels do rejoice, and on earth men glorify Thee, O Lover of mankind, for Thy good-womb-bearing unto us.

Hymn: Glorify Him in the heights of resounding trumpets. Glorify Him in the heights of loud cries. / Let every breath glorify the Lord.

-fashionable and lawless Jews,
where are your seals and balances,
why for soldiers;
not stolen was the treasure,
but risen by strength:
yet yourselves, having shamed yourself by casting off the Lord of glory,
having suffered and been buried,
and rising from the dead,
unto thee we shall bow.

Stichos: Arise, O my God, that Thy hand may be lifted up, / and forget not Thy mercies unto the end.

Sealed the tomb, /
as though stolen by the Jews, /
guards were set, and signs laid down, /
through the closed door went the King; /
either as a dead one presented, /
or as to God bowing, singing with us: /
glory to Thee, who art sealed, and in Thy resurrection.

O sweet-smelling of Thy grave, O Myrrh-bearers weeping,
Thou hast reached the Lord, and bearing death,
Sought to anoint Thy holy body:
Finding instead a radiant angel sitting on the stone,
Who spake unto them, saying:
"Whence floweth forth the river of life from broken ribs?
What seek ye in the grave of the deathless One?
Go hence and proclaim to that disciple,
The glorious resurrection of the world's joy;
By which Thou hast enlightened us,
Grant us cleansing and great prayer."

Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.

Thou, O True Life, dost keep man, O Life of men, Thy life Thou hast given, after rising by the teaching,
Thou didst show forth a fearful spectacle, making manifest the spirit that seeketh to see:
But Thou didst still the tumult in their souls, showing them hand and foot.
Therefore, O Faithless ones, by partaking and remembrance of instruction,
Thou didst overturn them unto us, that they might understand the writings:
And having promised the offering of the faithful, Thou blessedst and
Descendedst upon heaven. Therefore with them we bow down to Thee,
O Lord, glory be to Thee.

And now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

O Theotokos, Gloria, verse: Blessed art thou, O Lady, / for in thee was Adam captured from the Adversary, / and by thy conception man was exalted, / and the covenant was made void, / Eve was set free, / death was destroyed, and we have hoped. / Therefore, singing we cry out: / Blessed is Jesus Christ / Who willed thus, glory to thee.

Glory be to Thee, O Lord, Who hast shown us light.
