You appeared to the desert as a good planting, O Reverend, / from your youth and in the world you deigned to live a pure life; / being jealous of the greater, you left your father’s house, / and, all red having despised this world, / you came from foreign countries / to the monastery of the God-saved city of Pskov, / and you devoted yourself to the obedience of the Venerable Euphrosyne; / also stretching your mind to to the Great One,/ you moved into the desert,/ in it you built a most honorable abode,/ and you gathered a multitude of monks,/ and you guided them on the true path./ Likewise, Christ, You sacrificed it to yourself,/ having seen your good works,/ how you shone as a lamp,/ and after the repose you enriched yourself with miracles, Savvo, our father./ Praying ever since to Him for our country, / even if it is granted victories against its enemies, / but your flock will remain unhindered from the enemy, / / and we will all be saved.
