Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee.
Let us rejoice at the world and those in the world, who have now been crucified by Christ, let us endure vexation, reproach, and so on, so that we may be glorified with Him.
Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee!
Having said “Happy to remain!”* to the world, and to that which is in the world, now, as if crucified with Christ, let us endure insults, mockery, and so on, so that we may be glorified with Him!
* Literally: “Rejoice!”, since this expression was used in Greek for greeting and farewell.
Δόξα σοι, ὁ Θεὸς ἡμῶν, δόξα σοι.

Irmos: The night passed, and the day drew near, and the Light shone for the world. Therefore the troops sing of You and the angels in hymns, and all things proclaim Your glory.*
* In the current Greek Triodion it is a little different: “Therefore the companies of angels sing hymns to You, and give glory to You, O Lord.”

Song 8.
ᾨδὴ η´.
Having humbled Yourself, You ascended for goodness to the Cross, sometimes elevating the fallen food of the tree: also You, the only Most Good One, the glorified One, we sing unto the ages.
Having humbled Yourself, You were ascended to the Cross, out of [Your] kindness, having raised up the one who had once fallen because of food from the Tree [of the knowledge of good and evil]. Therefore, You, the Glorified One, O One Super-Good One, we eternally glorify in hymns.
