Hear, O God, my prayer, attend to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I cried to You, when my heart was always depressed, You lifted me up on a rock, You guided me. For you were my hope, a pillar of strength from the face of the enemy. I will dwell in Your village forever, I will be covered in the blood of Your wings. Because You, O God, have heard my prayers, You have given wealth to those who fear Your name. Add days to days of the king, his summer until the day of his generation and generation. Who will abid forever before God, His mercy and truth? Thus I will sing to Your name forever, render my prayers day by day. Hear, O God, my prayer, heed my prayer! From the ends of the earth I cried out to You when my heart was depressed; and You lifted me up onto the rock, You set me on the path, For You were my hope, a strong pillar in the face of my enemies. I will dwell in Your abode forever, I will hide under the shadow of Your wings. For You, O God, have heard my prayers and have given an inheritance to those who fear Your name. Multiply the days of the king, extend his years from generation to generation! He will remain forever before God.

Who will comprehend the mercy and truth of God? And I will sing Your name forever, I will fulfill my vows all the days.

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 61

Finally, O Idithum, a psalm to David.
Finally, through Idithum, Psalm of David, 61.

Does not my soul obey God? From Him is my salvation. For He is my God and my Savior, my Intercessor, I move no more. How long will you stay with a person? You all kill, as the wall has been bowed and the bulwark has been raised. Otherwise, reject my advice, I am thirsty, I bless with my lips and curse with my heart. Moreover, obey God, my soul, for from Him is my patience. For He is my God and my Savior, my Intercessor, I will not pass away. In God is my salvation and my glory, the God of my help, and my trust is in God. Trust in Him, all the multitude of people; pour out your hearts before Him, for God is our helper. Both vanity is the son of humanity, the lie of the son of humanity in Merilech is even untruthful, and from vanity together. Do not trust in untruth and do not desire admiration. Even if wealth flows, don’t apply your heart. God spoke with one word, hearing these two, the power of God, and Thy, O Lord, mercy, for Thou hast rewarded each according to his deeds. Does not my soul obey God?

For He grants me salvation, For He is my God and my Savior, my Intercessor, and henceforth I will not waver! How long will you attack man? You kill him like a falling wall or a collapsed fence. For my enemies had conspired to discredit my honor, they hurried in their impatience; They blessed me with their lips, but cursed me in their hearts. But obey God, my soul, my hope is in Him! For He is my God, my Savior, my Protector, and I will not depart from Him! In God is my salvation and my glory; God grants me help, my hope is in God. Trust in Him, all our people! Pour out your hearts to God, for He is the Giver of help! But the sons of men are vain and the sons of men are deceitful; the scales of their conscience err; vanity tied them together. Do not trust in untruth and do not strive for covetousness; If wealth flows to you, do not put your heart into it. Once I heard God speak two truths: that God has power, and that You, Lord, have mercy, for You will reward everyone according to their deeds.

Psalm 62

Psalm to David, when he was never in the wilderness of Judea.
Psalm of David when he was in the desert of Judea, 62.

O God, my God, I have thirsted for You in the morning; my soul has thirsted for You, since my flesh is abundant in You, in a land that is empty and impassable and without water. Thus I have appeared to You in the Holy One, to see Your power and Your glory. For Thy mercy is better than life, my lips praise Thee. Thus I will bless You in my belly, in Your name I will lift up my hands. For with fatness and ointment may my soul be filled, and my mouth shall praise Thee with joyful lips. Even when I commemorated Thee on my bed, I learned from Thee in the morning. For You were my helper, and in Your blood I will rejoice. My soul cleaves to You, but Your right hand accepts me less. They, seeking my soul in vain, will descend into the underworld of the earth, surrender themselves into the hands of weapons, and become parts of the fox. The king will rejoice in God, everyone who swears by Him will boast, for he has stopped the mouth of those who speak unrighteously. God, my God, in the morning I cry to You; My soul has thirsted for You, I yearn for You in my flesh, in a desert, impenetrable and waterless land!

I would come to You in the sanctuary to see Your power and Your glory! For Thy mercy is more precious than life; my lips will praise you. I will bless You all the days of my life; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul will soften and be nourished like oil, and my lips will praise You with a prayer of joy. I remembered You while still in my bed, early in the morning I thought about You; For You are my Protector, and under the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. My soul came close to You, and Your right hand supported me. And those who, without my guilt, sought my death, will descend to the underworld; They will be put to the sword and become prey for foxes. And the king will rejoice in God, and he who swears by Him will be glorified, for the lips of those who speak lies will be stopped.

Psalm 63

Finally, a psalm to David.
Finally, Psalm of David, 63.

Hear, O God, my voice, always pray to You, take away my soul from the fear of the enemy. Cover me from the multitude of evildoers, from the multitude of those who do lies. He who has sharpened his tongues like a sword, who has strained his bow, a bitter thing, shoots at the secret things that are blameless; they will suddenly shoot him and will not be afraid. Having confirmed to yourself the word of the evil one, you told them to hide the snare, deciding: who will see them? Having experienced lawlessness, the disappearance of the testing trials, man will approach, and the heart will be deep, and God will be exalted. The arrows came upon the child, and their tongues fell upon her. All who saw them were troubled, and every man was afraid, and declared the works of God, and understood His creation. The righteous will rejoice in the Lord and trust in Him, and all the rulers will boast in their hearts. Hear my voice, O God, when I pray to You; Deliver my soul from fear of enemies!

Hide me from the gathering of the treacherous, from the multitude of people who do injustice, who have sharpened their tongue like a sword, who have strained their bow for an evil deed, - hiding, they will shoot at the blameless; they will suddenly shoot him down and will not fear retribution. They were confirmed in the evil plan; They conspired to set up nets and said: “Who will see us?” They plotted lawlessness; exhausted, plotting intrigues. A man will come up to you, but his heart is hidden deep. But may God be exalted! Like weak childish arrows, they inflicted wounds. Their tongue is exhausted; everyone who saw them was confused. And every man was afraid; and they declared the works of God, and they understood what He had done. The righteous will rejoice in the Lord and trust in Him; and those who are upright in heart will be glorified.

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

After kathisma 8. Trisagion according to Our Father: Troparion, tone 5:

I have crawled into the depths of sin, / anxiety overwhelms despair, / but beforehand, Christ, as Omnipotent, Ruler of all, / and to the haven of quiet aspirations of dispassion, / for goodness, Savior, and save me.
I, having slipped into the depths of sin, / am overwhelmed by the anxiety of despair, / but soon appear, O Christ, as the Almighty, Ruler of all, / and direct me to the quiet haven of dispassion, / by mercy, Savior, / and save me.

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. The soul, although here it is temporary, / is also eternal there, / I see the Judgment Seat, and the Judge on the Throne, / and I tremble with the sayings: / so on, soul, turn, the judgment is unforgivable.
Slava: Soul, here you are temporarily, but there you will be forever. / I see the place of the Judgment and the Judge on the throne / and I tremble, awaiting the verdict. / Finally, turn, soul: / judgment without mercy!
