Irmos: With Your divine light, O Blessed One,/ Illumine Your souls with love in the morning, I pray,/ Lead You, the Word of God,/ the true God,/ calling out from the darkness of sin.
Irmos: With Your Divine light, O Good One, / illumine the souls of those who strive for You from dawn with love, I pray, / to know You, the Word of God, the true God, / calling to You from the darkness of sins.

Chorus: Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me.
Chorus: Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me!

Remember your sins, accursed man,/ how selfishness, love of money, hard-heartedness and lust made you a child killer./ My sinful soul, is this what you wanted?
Remember, unfortunate man, / how selfishness, love of money, hard-heartedness and lust have made you a child-killer! / My sinful soul, is this what you wanted?

Chorus: Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me.
Chorus: Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me!

They tremble with me, for I have created guilt for all: / behold with my eyes, hear with my ears, / speak with an evil tongue, / betray everything to myself to hell; / my sinful soul, did it desire this? are you?
The members of my body are trembling, / for I have been guilty of all of them: / looking with my eyes, listening with my ears, speaking evil with my tongue, / I have given myself over to hell! / My sinful soul, is this what you wanted?

Glory: Thou hast received the fornicator and the repentant thief, O Savior, / but I alone have become aggravated with sinful laziness / and have enslaved myself to evil deeds; / my sinful soul, whether it willed this or not are you?
Glory: You took the prodigal son and the repentant thief to Yourself, Savior;/ but I alone am so burdened with sinful laziness/ and enslaved to evil deeds!/ My sinful soul, is this what you wanted?

And now: O wondrous and quick Helper of all people, Mother of God, / help me, unworthy (her), / for my sinful soul desires it.
And now: Wonderful and quick helper / to all people, Mother of God! / Help me, unworthy, / for my sinful soul desired it!
