Irmos: Establish the Heavens in the beginning with your mind/ and the foundation of the earth on the waters,/ on the rock of me, Christ, establish Your commandments,/ as there is nothing holy, more than You,/ You alone, the Lover of Mankind.

Reverend Father Athanasius, pray to God for us.

From childhood he was already taken to God by love, / gathering his peers from children and composing his face, he spiritually read, // children’s wisdom, taking away these customs. .

Reverend Father Athanasius, pray to God for us.

Passing over wisdom with desire,/ you came to the prudent city of Constantine, the wise God,/ like a wise bee, and, lustfully pure from words, the coven,// left the useless you are.

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

With the sail, Father, the Cross nourished your spiritual ship, / you escaped the cruel sinking of life comfortably and easily, / and you brought you to the silence of the Divine havens, rejoicing.

And now and ever and unto ages of ages, amen.

Who, before the ages, was born from the Father inexpressibly/ and finally from Thy womb passed and deified our nature, O Mother of the Virgin, // Who hath plagued the faces of the likes.

Lord, have mercy (three times).
