Reverend and God-bearing Anthony and Theodosius! To you, as to a warm intercessor and a quick helper and a well-known representative, we sinners come running, humbly asking for your help and intercession, in the abyss of evils and troubles, plunging into us every day and hour and from evil people come upon us, and from the spirits of wickedness in high places, they always come upon us for the destruction of the souls and bodies of our seekers.
You know, without a doubt, since you have great boldness towards the Merciful God: you still remain on earth among those wandering to the mountainous fatherland, the great power of the grace of God, you miracle-working, you show in yourself like fire from heaven, in the likeness of Elijah, to show the place on which the great Pechersk church was built, descending, and dew, in the image of Gideon, for cleansing and the eternal glorification of that same holy place, we call: so we, since there are many many husbands and wives, from different countries and peoples, grieving and attacked, or overcome by various serious illnesses, are overcome by your prayers and By intercession you will receive quick relief and deliverance. After all, all that help, even in the mortal wanderings, was mercifully given to the needy, especially today, when the Almighty appeared before the Trinity, and greater acceptance boldness to pray for our unworthiness and to intercede and protect us in troubles!
For this reason, we, with so many hostile slander, embittered and insidious plots from everywhere, threaten and oppress, your warm and strong God, we entrust ourselves to the protection, and earnestly pray for your goodness: save us unharmed from all troubles and evils, especially from the demonic wiles, let us not be a reproach and ridicule for them, but with your strong help drive them away from us, just as in those days you drove away evil, sometimes dirty tricks, from the monastery acted. Their useless calico has tamed the rebellion against us, so make us confirmed in faith, hope and love, so that no bewilderment or doubt prevails over us. Keep and supply our spiritual and physical feelings in such well-being and more beautiful regularity every day and hour, so that we will never anger the Good and Humane God. Be wise in your mind, so that it thinks more about God, His omnipresence and good providence, rather than worrying about temporary things.
Always correct our corrupted will, so that no one wants, even if he resists the will of God, but let him be satisfied with those things, and let him abid in them serenely and sadly, even if the essence is pleasing and pleasing to God, and salutary and useful to man. In addition, about the reverend fathers, do not forget your fatherland, but in a peaceful dispensation, constantly intercede for him at the throne of the Majesty of God. Keep our most pious sovereign, our emperor, his entire chamber and army, and all the people in his power, peaceful and carefree, and will soon deliver you from every evil situation. When it is time for us to depart from this temporary life and settle into eternity, stand here to help us and free us from the violence of the enemy, just as you once stood before the monk Erasmus, who found himself in grave mortal distress, and so move our hearts to true repentance and the desire for sins, just as his heart was heroic, and we too are in With our clear conscience, we glorify the Most Holy and Indivisible Trinity, together with you and all the saints, forever and ever.
