Troparion, tone 4
Today is the day of God's favor, the transfiguration / and the preaching of salvation to men; / the Virgin clearly appears in the church of God, / and announces Christ to everyone. / We, too, will cry out loudly: / Rejoice, seeing / the Creator’s fulfillment.
Today - today. Transfiguration is an omen (the Greek word troparion means “eve”, “introduction”, “preface”). Clear - clearly, definitely. Views of Zizhditelev - the Providence of the Creator.
+ Rejoice, fulfillment of the Creator’s vision... When the Most Pure Virgin Mary was born, when She was given to the church as a little girl, this was the beginning of the fulfillment, that is, the completion and completeness, of the action of God’s Providence (the Creator’s vision), the fulfillment of the Divine plan for the incarnation, preaching, death on the Cross and Resurrection of Christ, the Son of God.
Kontakion, tone 4
The Most Pure Church of the Savior, / the precious palace and the Virgin, / the sacred treasure of the glory of God, / is now being introduced into the house of the Lord, / the co-leading grace that is in the Divine Spirit, / Even as the Angels of God sing: / This is the village of heaven.
Grace is co-leading, even in the Divine Spirit - bringing with It the grace of the Divine Spirit. Yuzhe - Her. Village is a dwelling.
Greatness
We magnify You, Most Holy Virgin, God-chosen Youth, and honor Your entry into the Church of the Lord.
Zadostoynik
Chorus: The angels were amazed at the entry of the Most Pure One: how the Virgin entered the Holy of Holies.
Irmos of the 9th song of the canon: As if the ark of God is alive, the hand of the wicked may never touch it, but in the mouth of the faithful to the Mother of God, the voice of the Angel sings and cries out with joy: truly you are above all, O Pure Virgin.
Like the animated ark of God - (the Mother of God) like the living Ark of God.
The Ark of God is one of the prototypes of the Most Holy Theotokos. The words about the “hand of the evil” bring to mind Old Testament episodes: the terrible disasters that befell the Philistines, who dared to steal the Ark of the Covenant (1 Samuel 5-6), and the death of Uzzah, who carelessly touched the Ark (2 Samuel 6:6-7). Reverent, loving fear should permeate our attitude towards the Divine and towards the Seat of God - the Most Holy Theotokos.
This irmos (deserver) was written by St. John of Damascus.
