Ascended - ascended, raised. To the namesake of Your new residence - the new society bearing Your name - that is, Christians. To adversaries - to enemies. Benefit - help.
The troparion and kontakion of the feast of the Exaltation of the Cross of the Lord (and, more broadly, the troparion and kontakion of the Holy Cross) in old prayer books inextricably link the Cross with the emperor (king); This connection between the glorification of the Cross and the invocation of victory for the emperor is the most ancient, Byzantine, coming from the very appearance of the Cross of the Lord to Emperor Constantine: “By this victory.” The modern edition of the troparion and kontakion is adapted to the direct fact of our life: we do not have a king. Now the victory brought by the “weapon of peace”—the Cross of the Lord—is called upon us, Orthodox Christians, directly.

You are a mystery, Mother of God, a paradise - You, Mother of God, are a mysterious paradise. Uncultivated - that is, virgin. Thus now I am lifted up - therefore now, when it is raised up.
+ The song calls the Mother of God the Mysterious Paradise - that garden where God dwells, where Christ grew uncultivated - virginally; Christ planted the Tree of the Cross on earth - a similarity to the Tree of Life from which the forefathers ate in paradise, the Tree from which we all received life...
