Rejoice in God, our Helper, shout to the God of Jacob, receive the psalm and give the tympanum, the psalter is beautiful with the harp, sound the trumpet in the new moon on the auspicious day your festival, as is the commandment of Israel, and the destiny of the God of Jacob. Place a testimony in Joseph, never having heard him from the land of Egypt. His backbone has been taken away from the burden, his hand has been overworked. In tribulation you called Me, and I delivered you, having heard you in the secret storm, I tempted you on the water of discord. Hear, my people, and I testify to you, Israel, if you listen to Me. There will be no new god for you; you will bow down to a foreign god. For I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from the land of Egypt; widen your mouth, and I will do it. And my people did not listen to My voice, and Israel did not listen to Me: and I let them go according to the direction of their hearts, and they will go in their own ways.

If My people had listened to Me, if Israel had walked in My way, for nothing would His enemies have humbled Him, and My hand would have been laid on those who insulted them. The Lord will defeat those who lie to Him, and their time will be forever. And satisfy them with the fatness of the wheat, and satisfy them with the honey of the stone. Sing joyfully to God, the Giver of help, shout to the God of Jacob! Sing a psalm and take the tympanum, the mellifluous psalter and the harp! Blow the trumpet on the new moon, on the solemn day of your holiday! For this is the commandment to Israel, the judgment of the God of Jacob! He gave the revelation to Joseph when he left the land of Egypt; there he heard a language previously unknown to him. He lifted the burden from his back as his hands poured earth into the basket. “In trouble you called Me, and I delivered you; heard you in the mysterious storm; tested you at the springs during strife. Listen, My people, I bear witness to you, O Israel, listen to Me: You shall not have a new god, lest you worship a strange god! For I, the Lord your God, have brought you out of the land of Egypt!

Open your mouth, and I will put My word in it. But My people did not listen to My voice, Israel did not hearken to Me; And I gave them liberty to follow the desires of their hearts; may they go their own ways! If My people had obeyed Me, if Israel had kept My ways, I would have immediately humbled their enemies and laid My hand on those who insulted them! The enemies of the Lord would be deceived, and the prosperity of My people would last forever; And I would feed him with fat wheat, and I would pour out honey from the stone for him.”

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 81

Psalm to Asaph.
Psalm of Asaph, 81.

God is in the assembly of gods, and in the midst the gods will judge. How long will you judge unrighteousness and accept the faces of sinners? Judge the weak and the poor, justify the lowly and the poor. Take away the poor and the wretched, deliver him from the hand of sinners. Without knowing, without understanding, they walk in darkness: let all the foundations of the earth move. Az reh: God of nature, and son of the Most High. You, like men, are dying, and like you alone are falling from princes. Arise, O God, judge the earth: for Thou hast inherited all nations.
God became in the company of those called gods, and may bring judgment upon the gods. How long will you judge unjustly and take sinners under your protection? Create just justice for the orphan and the poor, the humble and the beggar, show the truth! Save the poor and the wretched, deliver them from the hand of the sinner! They have not known, they have not understood the truth, they walk in darkness! Let the foundations of the earth shake! I said: you are gods and sons of the Most High! But you, like all people, die, and like any of the princes, you can fall. Arise, O God, bring judgment upon the earth, for You will become the Lord of all nations!

Psalm 82

Song of the psalm to Asaph.
Song, psalm of Asaph, 82.

God, who will be like You? Don’t be silent or subdue, O God. Because Your enemies have made a noise, and those who hate You have raised their heads. Thy evil will is against Thy people, and Thy counsel is against Thy holy will. Decided: Come and I will consume the tongue, and the name of Israel will not be remembered. As they conferred together with one mind, they bequeathed a covenant to Thee: the villages of Edomite, and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites: Ebal and Ammon and Amalek, foreign women with those living in Tire, for and Asshur I came with them, being Lot’s son’s intercessor. Let me make them like Midian and Sisera, like Jabim in the pot of Kishova. Consumed in Endor, it was like earthly pus. Put down their princes, like Oreb and Zibah, and Zebea and Zalman, all their princes, who decided: let us inherit the sanctuary of God. My God, put me like a stake, like a reed in the face of the wind. Like a fire that burns oak groves, like a flame that burns mountains, so having married me, I am overwhelmed by Your storm, and by Your wrath I am disturbed. Fill their faces with dishonor, and they will seek Your name, O Lord.

Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever and ever, and be put to shame and perish. And let them know that Your name is Lord, You are the only Most High throughout the whole earth. God, who will be like You? Do not remain silent and do not spare your enemies, O God! For Your enemies have made a noise, Your haters have raised their heads. They plotted evil against Your people, they deliberated how to destroy Your saints. They said: “Come, let us uproot them from among the nations, so that the name of Israel will not be remembered again!” For they held a unanimous council, they made an alliance against You: the villages of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites, Ebal, Ammon, Amalek and other foreigners, together with the inhabitants of Tyre; And Assur came with them; they all stood up for Lot's descendants. Crush them like Midian and Sisera, like Jabim at the tide of Kissh! They were destroyed in Endor, they became like the dust of the earth. Depose their princes, like Zib and Oreb, Zebah and Zalman, those of their princes who said: “Let us take possession of the sanctuary of God!” My God, liken them to a wheel drawn in dust, straw driven by the wind!

As fire burns oak groves, as flame scorches mountains, so You will drive them away with Your storm, You will throw them into confusion with Your anger! Cover their faces with dishonor, and let them call on Your name, O Lord! May they be ashamed forever, be dismayed, put to shame and perish! And may they know that Your name is Lord, You are the One, the Most High above all the earth!
