Psalm 39
Finally, a psalm to David.
Finally, Psalm of David, 39.
I have endured, endured the Lord, and listened to me, and heard my prayer. And lift me up from the pit of passions, and from the clay of the mire, and set my feet on the stone, and straighten my steps, and put in my mouth a new song, a song to our God. Many will see and fear, and trust in the Lord. Blessed is the man, who has the name of the Lord, his hope, and will not despise false vanity and confusion. Thou hast done many, O Lord, my God, Thy wonders, and by Thy thought there is none who can be like Thee: I have proclaimed them in words, multiplying more than in number. Thou didst not desire sacrifices and offerings, but thou didst fulfill the body, burnt offerings, and thou didst not ask for sin. Then he said: Behold, I have come; in the book of the book it is written about me: I have pleased to do Your will, O my God, and Your law is in the midst of my belly. The gospel of righteousness is great in the church; behold, I will not hinder my lips: Lord, you have meant. I have not hidden Your righteousness in my heart, I have not hidden Your truth and Your salvation, I have not hidden Your mercy and Your truth from the multitude.
But You, Lord, do not remove Your tender mercies from me: I will take Your mercy and Your truth away, intercede for me. For the evil has taken possession of me, and it is without number, and my iniquities have befallen me, and I am not able to see, multiplying more than the hair of my head, and my heart forsake me. Deign, O Lord, to deliver me: O Lord, in the hedgehog help me. Let those who seek to take away my soul be ashamed and put to shame, and let those who wish evil against me turn back and be ashamed. May those who say: good, good, receive their coldness. Let all who seek You, O Lord, rejoice and rejoice in You, and let them say: May the Lord be magnified, who love Your salvation. But I am poor and wretched, the Lord will take care of me. You are my Helper and my Protector, O my God, do not become stubborn. I patiently trusted in the Lord, and He listened to me and heard my prayer; And he brought me out of the abyss of suffering and the miry swamp, and established my feet on the rock, and directed my steps. And he put a new song in my mouth, a hymn to our God. Many will see and fear, and will trust in the Lord.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the name of the Lord and does not look at vanity and false worries. You have done many miracles, O Lord my God, and in Your good plans no one can be like You. I proclaimed and said: “They have no number!” You did not desire sacrifices and offerings, but you prepared a body for me; You did not require burnt offerings and sacrifices for sins. Then I said: “Here I come, as it is written about me in the book scroll; I have desired to do Your will, O my God, and Your law is in the depths of my heart.” I proclaimed the truth in the great church and henceforth I will not hinder my lips, and You know this, Lord. I did not hide Your truth in my heart, I told Your truth and the way of salvation, I did not hide Your mercy and Your truth from the great host. But You, Lord, do not deprive me of Your bounties; May Thy mercy and Thy truth always be my protection. For troubles have surrounded me, and they have no number; My iniquities have overtaken me, and my vision has darkened; there were more of them than the hairs on my head, and my heart sank within me. Deign, Lord, to deliver me! Lord, hasten to help me!
May those who plotted to snatch my soul be ashamed and put to shame! May those who wish me harm turn back and be ashamed! May the shame befall those who threaten me: “Good for you, good!” Let those who seek You rejoice and rejoice in You, O Lord, and let those who expect salvation from You repeat: “May the Lord be magnified!” And I am poor and wretched, but the Lord cares about me. My God, Giver of help and Protector, do not delay!
Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 40
Finally, a psalm to David.
Finally, Psalm of David, 40.
Blessed is he who is poor and wretched; on the day of cruelty the Lord will deliver him. May the Lord preserve him and live him, and may he bless him on earth, and may he not deliver him into the hands of his enemies. May the Lord help him on the bed of his illness: you have turned all his lies into his illness. Az reh: Lord, have mercy on me, heal my soul, for I have sinned. My enemies have decided evil against me: when will his name die and perish? And when he came in, he saw that he spoke his heart in vain, he gathered up iniquity for himself, and he went out and spoke his heart together. All my enemies whisper against me, and think evil against me. You put the word of lawlessness on me: food and sleep will not cause you to rise again? For the man of my peace, in whom I trusted, eater of my bread, bring stumbling upon me. But you, Lord, have mercy on me and raise me up and repay them. In this knowledge, because you have desired me, because my enemy will not rejoice over me. For my kindness you accepted me and established me before You forever. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: be, be.
Blessed is he who cares for the poor and needy; on a cruel day the Lord will deliver him; May the Lord protect him, and protect him, and grant him bliss on earth, and may he not deliver him into the hands of his enemies! May the Lord help him on his sick bed; his bed will not be a bed of suffering. I said: “Lord, have mercy on me, heal my soul, for I have sinned before You!” My enemies spoke evil about me: “When will he die, and his name perish with him?” And if any of them visited me, his heart spoke lies; he multiplied his iniquities; left me, and they consulted. My enemies whispered about me, they plotted evil against me. Lawless words were spoken about me: “Shall he who sleeps rise again?” For a man close to me, in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, lifted up his heel against me. But You, Lord, have mercy on me and raise me up, and I will punish them! And I will know that I am pleasing to You if my enemy does not triumph over me. But You accepted me for my kindness and established me before You forever. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel forever! So be it, so be it!
