Glory, and now: and we repeat the same.

Reading the prophecies of Isaiah. [Isa.9:9-21, 10:1-4]
Thus says the Lord: all the people of Ephraim, and those who dwell in Samaria, will understand in annoyance and with a high heart saying: Plinth has fallen, but come, let us cut you off stone, and we will cut blueberries and cedars, and build ourselves a pillar. And God will destroy those who rise up on Mount Zion, and scatter His enemies: Syria from the east of the sun, and the Greeks from the west of the sun, devouring Israel with all their mouths, in all these not His wrath is turned away, but His hand is still high. And the people did not turn until the plague was reached, and they did not seek the Lord. And the Lord took away from Israel the head and the errors, great and small, in one day: the Elder, and those who marveled at the faces, this is the beginning: and the prophet taught the wicked, this is the error. And the blessed ones will flatter these people, and flatter them, so that they may swallow me up. For this reason the Lord will not rejoice in their youths, and will not have mercy on their orphans and widows: for all lawlessness and wickedness, and every mouth speaketh unrighteousness. in all these his wrath is not turned away, but his hand is still high.
And iniquity will burn like a fire, and like a dry fire it will be consumed by fire: and it will burn in the thickets of oak groves, and the belt will be all around the hills. Because of the wrath of the Lord, the whole earth will burn, and people will be burned as if by fire: a man will not have mercy on his brother. But he will turn aside on his right hand, as if he were to hunger, and to eat away from the noise, and the man who eats the poison of his flesh will not be satisfied with his muscles: for Manasseh to eat Ephraim, and Ephraim Manasseh, as together they will fight Judah. In all of these [His] wrath has not turned away, but His hand is still high. Woe to those who write wickedness: those who write wickedness write: evading the judgment of the poor, delighting the judgment of my poor people, as if they were a widow for robbery, and an orphan for plunder. And what will they do on the day of visitation? sorrow will come to you from afar, and to whom will you run, may he help you; and where will you leave your glory, lest you fall into captivity? and they shall fall under the slain: and in all these His wrath is not turned away, but His hand is still on high.
Reading the prophecy of Isaiah [9:9–21; 10:1–4]
Thus says the Lord: All the people of Ephraim and those living in Samaria are aware that they say proudly and with an arrogant heart: “The bricks have fallen, but come, let us hew out the stones, and let us cut down the mulberry trees and cedars, and let us build ourselves a tower.” And God will crush those who rise up against Mount Zion and Jerusalem and scatter the enemies of Judah: “Syria from the rising of the sun and the Greeks from the setting of the sun, devouring My people with their mouths full.” Despite all this, His anger did not turn aside, but His hand was still high. And the people did not turn until they were smitten and sought the Lord of Hosts. And the Lord took away from Israel the head and the tail, great and small, in one day: the old man and the respectful persons - this is the beginning, and the prophet who teaches iniquity - this is the tail. And those who please this people will be flatterers and deceive, so as to devour them. Therefore, the Lord will not rejoice over their young men and will not have mercy on their orphans and widows, because they are all wicked and wicked, and the lips of all speak lies. Despite all this, His anger will not turn away, but His hand is still high.
And iniquity will burn like fire, and like dry reeds it will be eaten by fire, and will burn in the thickets of the forest, and will destroy everything in the surrounding hills. By the breath of the wrath of the Lord of Hosts the whole earth is burned, and the people will be, as it were, burned with fire; A man will not spare his brother: but he will bend to the right because he is hungry, and he will eat from the left side, and the man will not be satisfied, eating the flesh of his forearm; for Ephraim will devour Manasseh, and Manasseh will devour Ephraim, and both together will fight against Judah. For all this, His wrath will not be turned away, but His hand is still high. Woe to those who write worthless things, for those who write worthless things, removing the poor from justice and stealing the rights of the poor of My people, so that the widow is robbed by them and the orphan is robbed. And what will they do on the day of the visit? For their sorrow will come from afar, and to whom will you turn for help? And where will you leave your glory so as not to be attacked? And they will fall to lie under the slain. And despite all this, His anger will not turn aside, but His hand is still high.
