Troparion of prophecy, tone 8:

Thou art venerable, O Christ our God, Shake the earth, in order to convert and save those who live on it, and again confirm it with Thy goodness and ineffable mercy: through the prayers of the Mother of God have mercy on us.

Glory, and now: and we repeat the same.

Troparion of prophecy, tone 8: You are most worthy of glorification in songs, O Christ our God! You shake the earth in order to convert it, and those who live on it are saved, and you establish it again by Your goodness and unspeakable mercy. Through the intercessions of the Mother of God, have mercy on us!

Glory, even now: and we repeat the same troparion.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 100), tone 4: Mercy and judgment/ I will sing to You, O Lord.

Verse: I sing and understand on the way without blame: when will you come to me?

Prokeimenon (Psalm 100), tone 4: I will sing of mercy and judgment, I will sing to You, O Lord!

Verse: I will sing and meditate on the blameless path: when will You come to me?

Reading the prophecies of Isaiah. [Isa.45:11–17]

Thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, the Creator of the future: ask Me about My sons, and about My daughters, and command Me about the work of My hand. I created the earth and man on it, I established the sky with My hand, I gave commandments to all the stars. I raised him up with the righteousness of a king, and all his ways were right. This will build my city, and the captivity of my people will bring back, not for reward, not for free, says the Lord of hosts. Thus says the Lord of hosts: Egypt shall labor, and the purchases of Ethiopia, and the great men of Sheba will come to you, and you will have slaves, and ties will follow you. with hand chains, and they will come to you and worship you, and they will pray in you, for God is in you, and they will say: there is no God except you. For you are God, and you do not know, the God of Israel’s Savior. All who oppose him will be ashamed and put to shame, and they will go away in the cold: renew yourselves to Me, the islands. Israel is saved from the Lord with eternal salvation: they will not be put to shame, neither will they be put to shame, even to eternity.

Reading the prophecy of Isaiah [45:11–17]

Thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, who created it, the Creator of the future: “You ask Me about My sons and My daughters, and in the works of My hands you give Me instructions. I created the earth and man on it, I established the sky with My hand, I gave law to all the stars. I have raised him up with the righteousness of a king, and all his ways are right: he will build my city and bring back my captive people, not for ransom or for gifts,” said the Lord of hosts. Thus says the Lord of hosts: Egypt is tired, and the trade of the Ethiopians and the Shebaimites, tall men, will come to you, and they will be your slaves, and after you they will go, bound with hand fetters, and they will come to you, and they will worship you, and they will pray to you, for you have a God, and there is no God but you. “For You are God, and we did not know, the God of Israel, the Savior.” Those who resist Him will be ashamed and disgraced and will walk in shame. “Be renewed before Me, O islands! The Lord saves Israel with eternal salvation: they will not be put to shame, they will not be put to shame forever,” says the Lord Almighty.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 101), tone 4: Lord, hear my prayer,/ and let my cry come to You.

Verse: Do not turn Your face away from me: even if I mourn a day, incline Your ear to me.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 101), tone 4: Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my call reach You!

Verse: Don’t turn your face away from me! On the day when I am oppressed, turn Your ear to me!
