O blessed great saint, righteous Athanasius! Hear me, a sinner, praying to you and calling on your holy name. See me poor, immersed in the capital's misfortune: see me weak, caught from everywhere and deprived of every good and my mind darkened from cowardice. Strive, O Holiness of God, to free me captive, do not leave me a sinful enemy in the joy of being and dying in my evil deeds: pray for me, a sinner and fornicator, and my Creator, Master and Lord, with Him you are with You stand before me with disembodied faces, be merciful to me in the present world and in the future, so that he will not repay me according to my evil deeds and the impurity of my heart, but may he repay me according to his goodness.
