Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of Your Beginningless Father! You declared with Your most pure lips that without Me you cannot do anything; My Lord, Lord, with faith in my soul and heart spoken by You, I bow down to Your goodness: help me a sinner to complete this work, which I have begun, for You, in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Only Begotten Son of the Beginningless Father, my Lord Jesus Christ! You once said with your most pure lips: without Me you can do nothing. My Lord, Lord, believing with all my soul and heart what You said, I beg Your goodness: help me, a sinner, to complete the work that I have begun, as if with Your participation in it, in the Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Let it be true!
Explanation
Only Begotten Son of the Eternal Father, my Lord Jesus Christ! You once spoke with Your most pure lips that without You nothing can be done! We believe, Lord, that all things have been handed over to You by Your Father (Luke 10:22), and whoever does not gather with You scatters (Luke 11:23). You are the light of the world (John 10:5) and everything that is impossible for men is possible for You as God (Mark 10:27)! And therefore, starting the work I am beginning, I beg You: show me, in Your goodness, Your all-powerful help; May I complete my work as successfully and completely as if you yourself participated in it, together with me. May Your Trinitarianly worshiped Name, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be glorified in it, as in everything achieved through You,—True!

Quick to intercede and strong to help, present yourself to the grace of Thy power now, and having blessed, strengthened, and brought about the fulfillment of the good deeds of Thy servants: for all that they desire, as the mighty God is able to do.
Swift to protect and powerful to help, O God! Show the grace of Your power now over Your servants, and having blessed, strengthen us, and fulfill our intention to accomplish this good deed! For You, as the Almighty God, can do whatever you want!

The fulfillment of all good things You are, my Christ, fill my soul with joy and gladness and save me, for I alone am merciful.
You, my Savior, as the finisher of everything begun with a good purpose, filled my soul with joy and joy! Save me (from all troubles), as the One giver of many mercies.
Explanation
You, my Savior, as the finisher of all things, began with a good purpose and in Your Name, who spoke to Your disciples that all things are possible to him who believes (Mark 9:23); who healed the Centurion's servant in absentia and with a single word (Luke 7:7) and commanded Peter to walk on the stormy waves (Matthew 14:28) - now, all-mercifully, he heard my prayer and with the successful completion, with the help of Yours, my work, rejoiced my soul! Save me in future labors from failures and obstacles and do not deprive me of Your blessing, as the One giver of many mercies.

We are grateful to Your unworthy servants, O Lord, for Your great blessings upon us; we glorify You, bless, thank You, sing and magnify Your compassion, and slavishly cry out to You in love: O benefactor, our Savior, Glory to You!
Filled with gratitude to You, Your unworthy servants, Lord, for all Your great benefits that You have shown us, glorifying You, we praise, bless, thank, sing and marvel at the greatness of Your mercies to us; and, as slaves who are entirely dependent on You, with heartfelt love we cry out to You: Our Benefactor and Savior - Glory to You!

Russian translation and explanation
As a servant of indecency, having been honored with Your blessings and gifts, Master, we earnestly flow to You, giving thanks as much as we can, and we cry out to You, as the Benefactor and Creator, glorifying: Glory to You, All-Bountiful God.
As unworthy servants, having been worthy of Your blessings and gifts, not according to our merits, but only according to Your mercy, our Master, shown to us, we heartily fall at Your feet and offer Thee the only gratitude in our power, glorifying You as a benefactor and creator and constantly crying out to You: Glory to Thee, All-Bounteous God!
Prayer before teaching

Russian translation
Blessed Lord! bestow upon us the grace of Your Holy Spirit, bestowing and strengthening our spiritual strength, so that, by heeding the teaching taught to us, we may grow to You, our Creator, for glory, for the comfort of our parents, for the benefit of the Church and the Fatherland.
Most merciful Lord! bestow upon us the grace of Your Holy Spirit, bestowing and strengthening our spiritual strength (i.e., mind, will, conscience and memory), so that, by heeding the teaching that is taught to us, we will grow for You, our Creator, to glory; for our parents for consolation, and for the Church and the Fatherland for useful service.
Explanation
Most merciful Lord! The Holy Prophet Joel, who predicted the sending of Your Holy Spirit on Your faithful, cried with inspiration: On My servants and on My handmaids, in those days I will pour out My Spirit! (Joel.2:28-32; Acts.2:18) and, even Your most ancient Prophet Isaiah, 700 years before Your appearance on earth, who spoke about You all the truths, truly justified by You, certified, saying: everyone will be taught by God (Is.54:13); and finally You Yourself, our Savior, among the countless blessings bestowed upon us, endowed us with the right to appeal to You as a Teacher, saying: You have only one teacher - Christ! (Matthew 23:8). And therefore, remembering all this and bowing before Your mercy, we pray to You, Most Gracious Lord, to send us gracious help from Your Holy Spirit; may He grant us the meaning of understanding everything we study; may He still strengthen the weak forces of our soul for mental labors; may the mind be enlightened to realize the benefits of the teaching; will warm our hearts with feelings of gratitude to those who care about our enlightenment and may it strengthen our conscience and will in our desire to bring all possible benefit to society.
We ask all this from You, All-Seeing Lord, not for our personal benefits alone, but so that through the success of this teaching, we, having been enlightened in mind and heart, can glorify You, our Creator, by an example of a reasonable and honest life; brought comfort to our parents, as the best fruit of their care for us, and served the Holy Church and our dear fatherland by using our knowledge for their benefit and glory.
