Akathist to the Divine Passion of Christ

Chosen by the Voivode and Lord of Heaven and earth, You, the Immortal King, in vain hanging on the Cross, all creation changed, the sky was terrified, the foundations of the earth were shaken. But we, who are unworthy, bring Thy grateful worship for the sake of our suffering, crying out to Thee with the thief: Jesus, Son of God, remember us when You come in Thy Kingdom.

Replenishing the ranks of the angels, you did not receive from the Angel, but for my sake, this God, who became man, sin for the sake of the dead, you revived with your life-giving Body and Blood, Moreover, with the fullness of Thy love, give thanks to existence, we cry to Ty:

Jesus God, Love the Eternal One, has been well pleased with us earthly beings;

Jesus, immeasurable mercy, come down to the fallen people.

Jesus, put on our flesh and destroy the power with His death;

Jesus, by Your Divine Mysteries you have revived us.

Jesus, through your suffering and your Cross the whole world has been redeemed;

Jesus, Son of God, remember us when you come into Your Kingdom.

Having seen Thee in the helicopter city of Gethsemane, she labored until she sweated blood in prayer, appearing to strengthen Thee, when our heavy sins burdened Thee with a heavy burden: For Thou, Adam We will receive the lost one in the frame, you presented it to the Father, bend your knee in prayer. For this reason I sing to You with faith and love: Alleluia.

The mind does not understand Your free suffering without understanding the Jews: for this reason, at night, the lamps always proclaimed to those who sought You: I am; even though I had fallen on the earth, but because of this I bound You, leading you to the judgment: but on this path, falling to You, we call with love:

Jesus, the Light of the world, hated by the evil world;

Jesus, living in the Unpassable Light, removed from the dark region.

Jesus, the Immortal Son of God, designated from the Son of Perdition to death;

Jesus, there is no flattery in Him, kissed by flattery from the traitor.

Jesus, give Himself tuna to everyone, sold for pieces of silver;

Jesus, Son of God, remember us when you come into Your Kingdom.

By the power of Your Divinity, You prophesied threefold rejection to the disciple. Therefore, even though he denied You with an oath, he, however, when he saw You in the courtyard of the bishops, his Lord and Teacher, was touched by his heart, and went out weeping bitterly: “Look Therefore, on me, Lord, and strike my cruel heart, so that with my tears I will wash away my sins, singing to You: Alleluia.”

Having truly authority according to the order of Melchizedek, as a Bishop forever, you became before the lawless high priest Caiaphas, Lord and Lord of all; Having received torment from Your servants, accept this from us:

Jesus, priceless, bought with a price, obtain me for Your eternal inheritance;

Jesus, the desire of all, from Peter, for the sake of the rejected one, do not reject me, a sinner.

Jesus, kindly lamb, tormented by fierce boars, rescue me from my enemies;

Jesus the Bishop, who entered the Holy of Holies with His Blood, cleanse me from the defilements of the flesh.

Bound by Jesus, have the power to bind and decide, resolve my grave sins;

Jesus, Son of God, remember us when you come into Your Kingdom.

The Jews are breathing the storm of murder of Christ, having listened to the voice of the father of lies and murderer from time immemorial, the devil, and rejected You, the right Path, Truth and Life; We are Thee, Christ, the power of God, in whom all the treasures of wisdom and reason are hidden, confessing, crying out: Alleluia.

Hearing the meek Pilate of Your words, as if He betrayed You to death worthy of death, and even Your own testimony, that You have not found a single fault in You: for your hands are your minds, but defile your heart: we, marveling at the mystery of Your free suffering, call with tenderness:

Jesus, Son of God and Son of the Virgin, martyred by the sons of iniquity;

Jesus, mocked and naked, give glory to the villages and cover the sky with clouds.

Jesus, filled with stripes, filled five thousand with five loaves;

Jesus, the King of all, received cruel torment instead of tribute of love and thanksgiving.

Jesus, for our sake you have been wounded all day, heal the wounds of our souls;

Jesus, Son of God, remember us when you come into Your Kingdom.

You are all clothed with Your rich blood; you are clothed in light, like a robe. We, truly we are with the prophet, like Thy garments are scarlet: I, Lord, I have wounded Thee through my sins; For your sake, for my wounded sake, I call with gratitude: Alleluia.

Having seen You in the soul of the God-speaking Isaiah, filled with dishonor and wounds, he cried out in horror: “I saw Him, and had no form, no kindness.” We, seeing You on the Cross, call with faith and wonder:

Jesus, endure dishonor, crown man with glory and honor;

Jesus, the angels cannot see on Negozha, his forehead is bruised.

Jesus, struck on the head with a reed, bow my head in humility;

Jesus, Thy bright eyes have been darkened by the blood, turn away mine eyes from seeing vanity.

Jesus, who was not whole from foot to head, made me whole and healthy;

Jesus, Son of God, remember us when you come into Your Kingdom.

Pilate appeared as a preacher of Your kindness, showing the people that nothing to be in You is worthy of death; but the Jews, like the beasts of Divia, having seen the blood, gnashed their teeth at Thee, “Crucify, crucify Him,” crying out; We, kissing Your most pure wounds, call: Alleluia.

Thou shalt shine forth in shame and astonishment, as an angel and a man saying of Thee to Pilate: “Behold, a man.” Come, then, let us worship Jesus who was mocked for our sake, crying out:

Jesus, Creator and Judge of all, judged and tormented from His creation;

Jesus, the Giver of wisdom, did not give an answer to the foolish.

Jesus, Physician of those wounded by sins, give me the medicine of repentance;

Jesus, smitten Shepherd, defeat the demons that tempt me.

Jesus, I have broken flesh, crush my heart with Thy fear;

Jesus, Son of God, remember us when you come into Your Kingdom.

Although you delivered man from the work of the enemy, you humbled yourself before your enemies, Jesus, and like a silent lamb you were led to the slaughter, you endured plagues everywhere, yes Heal the whole person, calling: Alleluia.

Thou hast shown marvelous longsuffering, when the warriors who scold Thee, according to the word of the unjust judge, wounded Thy most pure Body with the cruelest wounds, as if it were stained from the feet to chapters of blood. For this reason, we cry out to You with tears:

Jesus, lover of mankind, crowned with thorns from man;

Jesus, impassive in God, endure passions and free us from passions.

Jesus, my Savior, save me, guilty of all torment;

Jesus, forsaken by all, my affirmation, establish me.

Jesus, offended by everyone, O my joy, make me glad;

Jesus, Son of God, remember us when you come into Your Kingdom.

Marvelously and strangely, Moses and Elijah appeared to You at Tabor, speaking about Your departure, which you are now ending in Jerusalem. There, having seen Your glory, and here having seen our salvation, they call: Alleluia.

Everywhere from the Jews, persecuted by many, for the sake of the multitude of my sins, you endured reproach and torment: for one thing, you are disgusted to be Caesar, friends say they condemn the villain, but others cry out: “Take it, take it, and crucify it.” Condemned from all, and known to be crucified, to You, Lord, from the depths of the soul with the verb:

Jesus, unjustly condemned, our Judge, do not judge us according to our deeds;

Jesus, who fainted on the way under the Cross, my strength, in the hour of my sorrow and embitterment do not forsake me.

Jesus, cry to the Father for help, my hero, strengthen me in my weakness;

Jesus, acceptor of dishonor, my Glory, do not deny me from Your Glory.

Jesus, Image of the Most Bright Hypostasis of the Father, transform my unclean and dark life;

Jesus, Son of God, remember us when you come into Your Kingdom.

All nature was in turmoil, it was in vain that You were hanged on the Cross, in heaven the sun’s rays were hidden, the earth was shaken, the curtain of the temple was torn, the stone disintegrated, the hell of the dead was monstrous: we worship on the place where Thy most pure ones stand, singing: Alleluia.

The branches of many things, although they say a lot, but cannot give worthy thanksgiving to Your Divine passion, O Lover of mankind: our soul and body, heart and all the joints with They cry out to You with tenderness:

Jesus, nail yourself to the Cross, nail and abolish the handwriting of our sins;

Jesus, stretch out your hand from the Cross to everyone, and draw me, the lost one, too.

Jesus, Door of the sheep, pierced in the ribs, bring me with Thy plagues into Thy palace;

Jesus, crucified in the flesh, crucify my flesh with its passions and lusts.

Jesus, die in agony, grant that my heart may not judge otherwise, for You were crucified;

Jesus, Son of God, remember us when you come into Your Kingdom.

Although you saved the world, you healed the blind, the lame, the lepers, the mute and the deaf, you drove away the evil spirits; The foolish Jews, breathing malice and tormented by envy, nailed Thee to the Cross, not knowing how to sing: Alleluia.

O Eternal King, Jesus, who have suffered all for my intemperance, may you make me all pure, grant us in every way, so that we may follow your footsteps, calling:

Jesus, unsearchable Love, crucified You without committing sin;

Jesus, pray with a strong cry and with tears in the helicopter city, teach us to pray too.

Jesus, having fulfilled all the prophecies about You, fulfill the good desires of our hearts;

Jesus, Thy spirit is in the hand of the Father, at the hour of my departure receive my spirit.

Jesus, I am not forbidden to separate Your garments; meekly separate my soul from my body;

Jesus, Son of God, remember us when you come into Your Kingdom.

Thy All-Immaculate Mother brings you an all-contrite song, saying: “Even though you suffered on the Cross, yet I know You, from the womb of the Virgin Mary was born from the Father, for I see that all creation is will have compassion on You; Commit your spirit to the Father, and receive my spirit and do not forsake me, who calls: Alleluia.”

Like a light-receiving light, at Your Cross there is burning love for You, and the Mother Virgin Immaculate has overcome illness, I enter Your grave, the true Sun of Truth, from the outside of my heart Please accept our prayer:

Jesus, ascend on the tree, and bring us, the fallen, to His Father;

Jesus, the Ever-Virgin, bestowed Mother, teach us virginity and purity.

Jesus, You, who gave birth to God the Word, entrusted the disciple of the Theologian, entrust us all to Her maternal intercession;

Jesus, peace and hell to the Conqueror, conquer unbelief, worldly pride and the lust of the soul that lives in us.

Jesus, the destroyer of death, deliver me from eternal death;

Jesus, Son of God, remember us when you come into Your Kingdom.

Give me Your grace, Jesus, my God, accept me as You accepted Joseph and Nicodemus, and, like a clean shroud, I will bring my soul to You and anoint me with the scent of virtues Your most pure body, and, as in the tomb, I have You in my heart, calling: Alleluia.

Ikos 12

Singing Your free crucifixion, we worship Your Passion, O Christ, we believe with the centurion that You are truly the Son of God, come to the clouds with power and glory a lot; Then do not disgrace us, who were redeemed by Thy Blood and thus cry out:

Long-suffering Jesus, with the lament of Your Virgin Mother the eternal weeping of the devil;

Jesus, forsaken from all, did not forsake me alone at the hour of my death.

Jesus, touching Your feet with Magdalene, accept me;

Jesus, with the traitor and those who were crucified, do not judge me.

Jesus, lead me into paradise with the prudent thief;

Jesus, Son of God, remember us when you come into Your Kingdom.

O Jesus Christ, Lamb of God, take away the sins of the world, accept this little thing from all our souls, offering you thanksgiving and heal us with your saving suffering from all illnesses of soul and body, protected by Your Cross from enemies visible and invisible, and at the end of our lives, do not leave us, so that by Your death we will be delivered from eternal death, We call to You: Alleluia.

On the Cross nailed for us, Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten of God the Father, the Son, an inexhaustible abyss of mercy, love and generosity! We know that for the sake of my sins, out of unspeakable love for mankind, You deigned to shed Your Blood on the Cross, even though I, accursed and ungrateful, have hitherto trampled upon my bad deeds and nothing in me. Therefore, from the depths of lawlessness and uncleanness, my intelligent eyes looked upon You crucified on the Cross, my Redeemer, looking, with humility and faith, into the depths of the ulcers, filled with Your mercy, to myself I cast down, asking for forgiveness of my sins and bad life. Be merciful to me, my Lord and Judge, do not cast me away from Your presence, but with Your omnipotent hand turn me to You and guide me on the path of true repentance, so that from now on I will lay down my salvation beginning. By Your divine sufferings tame my carnal passions; With Your shed blood, cleanse my spiritual filth; By Your crucifixion, crucify me to the world with its temptations and lusts; By Your Cross protect me from invisible enemies who are trapping my soul. With Thy pierced feet forbid my feet from every evil way; With Thy pierced hands, refrain my hands from every deed that is displeasing to You. Nailed to the flesh, nail my fear to Thy fear, so that, having turned away from evil, I will create good before Thee. Having bowed Your head on the Cross, bow my exalted pride to the ground of humility; I am surrounded by Your crown of thorns, so that I cannot hear the unprofitable; You who taste gall with your lips, put a guard against my unclean lips; Have a heart opened with a spear, create a pure heart in me; With all Your wounds, I am tenderly wounded in Your love, so that I may love You, my Lord, with all my soul, with all my heart, with all my strength and with all my thoughts. Give me a strange and poor place where I can bow my head; Give me the All-Good One, who delivers my soul from death; Give me Yourself, the All-Sweet One, who delights me in sorrows and misfortunes with Your love, so that those who first hated, angered, expelled from themselves and nailed to the Cross, Whom now I will love you, I will accept it joyfully and bear His sweet Cross until the end of my life. From now on, O my all-good Redeemer, do not allow any of my will to be accomplished, since evil is and is unnecessary, lest I again fall into the hard work of the sin that reigned in me; but Your good will, which wants to save me, may always be fulfilled in me, entrusting me to You, my Crucified Lord, with the mental edge of my heart I imagine and pray from the depths of my soul, and in my separation from my mortal body, I will see You alone on Your Cross, in the hand of Your protection, receiving me, and keeping evil from the airy spirits, and indwelling sinners, those who have pleased You through repentance. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, Creator of heaven and earth, Savior of the world, behold, unworthy and most sinful of all, humbly kneel my heart before the glory of the Majesty Having bowed before You, I sing the cross and Your suffering, and I offer thanks to You, the King of all and God, for You have deigned to endure all labors and all kinds of troubles, misfortunes and torments, as a man, bear it, so that we all may have a compassionate Helper and Savior in all our sorrows, needs and embitterments. We know, Omnipotent Master, that all this was not necessary to You, but for the sake of human salvation, that You might redeem us all from the cruel work of the enemy, You endured the Cross and suffering. That I will repay You, O lover of mankind, for all those who have suffered for me for the sake of a sinner; We do not know, for soul and body and all good things are from You, and all that is mine is Yours, and I am Yours. Just in Thy innumerable things, O gracious Lord, I hope for mercy, I sing of Thy ineffable long-suffering, I magnify the inscrutable exhaustion, I glorify Thy immeasurable mercy, I worship Your most pure Passion and, lovingly kissing Your wounds, I cry out: have mercy on me, a sinner, and create, so that Your holy Cross will not be fruitless in me, and may I commune here with By faith in Your sufferings, I will be worthy to see the glory of Your Kingdom in heaven! Amen.
