O Soul of Mine, healing through repentance, come, weeping, with sighs beseeching: Physician of soul and body, merciful One, free me from many sins. Draw me near to the harlot, and the robber, and the publican; and grant me Thy Theotokos, O Lawless.
My prayers and my salvation, save me.
Glory: In the penitence of the Publican I did not envy, and in the tears of the Sinner I did not rejoice: for I was amazed at such a correction from oblivion; but by Thy benevolent love, O Lord, Thou hast saved me, for Thou art a Lover of Mankind.
And now: The Theotokos, two unspotted ones, pray to Thee with Thy mighty ones, more merciful than we before the end to grant us repentance, and great mercy.
O Lord, have mercy, and grant peace:
Lord God, enkindle in our hearts the unextinguishable light of Thy loving-kindness, and let our thoughts be enlightened by Thy evangelical teachings: implant in us the fear of Thy blessed commandments, that we may follow after the fleshly lusts no more.
Having made all our corrections, we shall pass through this life devoutly and wisely, working for thy good pleasure and understanding. For thou art the enlightener of souls and bodies of ours, O Jesus Christ, and unto thee we send glory with thy unbeginning Father and Holy Spirit, to all ages and to every blessed one and to the Life-giving.
Thy Holy Temple, now and ever and unto the ages of ages, amen.
