Irmos: On Mount Sinai, Moses saw Thee in the bush, unburnt by the fire of the Divinity, conceived in the womb; Daniel looked like an uncut mountain, a vegetated rod, Isaiah cried out from the root of David.

Chorus: Merciful Lord, hear the prayer of Your servants praying to You.

O source of life, giver of mercy, O Christ, do not turn away your face from us. Ease the illness of the troubled sickness, and raise up Abgar as Thaddeus, so that He may ever glorify You, together with the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Chorus: Merciful Lord, hear the prayer of Your servants praying to You.

Believing the voice of the Gospel, we seek Your promise, O Christ: ask, speak, and it will be given to you. Thus, even now, we pray to Thee, rise from the bed of health, overcome by a fierce illness, so that You may be magnified together with us.

Glory: Tormented by illness, inside with invisible wounds, He cries out to You, Christ, with us, not to us, Lord, not for our sake, for we are all filled with sins, but give to Your Mother and the Forerunner’s prayers healing to the sick, that we may magnify You all.

And now: Most Pure Mother of God, with all the saints we call upon Thee, with the Angels and Archangels, with the prophets and patriarchs, with the apostles, with the saints and righteous, praying to Christ our God Health to the sick, may we all magnify You.
