Irmos: I will pour out a prayer to the Lord and to Him I will proclaim my sorrows, for my soul is filled with evil and my life is drawing near to hell, and I pray like Jonah: from aphids, O God, lift me up.
Most Holy Theotokos, save us.
Proclaiming to You our sorrows, we pray, Mother of God: with Your grace you will gladden the sorrowing hearts, Joy to all, and lifted up from aphids.
Most Holy Theotokos, save us.
No other consolation and strong intercession has been acquired on earth, unless You, O All-Good One, cover from all evil the love of those who sing Your praises.
Most Holy Theotokos, save us.
We accept grace and mercy from Your Son, O Virgin, through Your prayers: You keep us from rumors, confusion, snare and all the deceits of the enemy, O All-Singing One.
Glory: To the Savior of the world, by Thy irresistible power do not cease to watch over Thy flock, which calls: Thou art our Joy and Consolation, O Blessed One.
And now: Deliver all good wines, revival of mortals, recovery of the lost, O Lady, Thy servants from vain death and from the aphids of sin.
Lord, have mercy (three times). Glory, and now:
