Irmos: Thou hast cast me away from Thy presence, O Light that never passeth, and an alien darkness has covered me, the accursed one, but turn me and guide my path to the light of Thy commandments, I pray.
Most Holy Theotokos, save us.
The mountain is a strong wall and an unshakable pillar of Thee in the barbarian invasions: for you fulfill the enemy’s faces and return to them vain and idle, Lady.
Most Holy Theotokos, save us.
Motherly providence for those who are in the Mountain of Ty, fear for the sake of Your Son, the Virgin, sick Vatoped, having warned about the robbers, and gave birth to the spirit of salvation through Your intercession, Most Blessed One.
Most Holy Theotokos, save us.
Just as the abbot of Vatopedi, after watching and praying in the morning, you instructed, O Good One, how to save ourselves from adversity, so grant us the effort from the night to become alert to God and to salvation we are guides who deliver from all troubles.
Most Holy Theotokos, save us.
Just as you forbade us, Lady, from opening the gates of ready-made destruction from our enemies, so place in us a gracious door of enclosure, so that the entrance of the all-evil destroyer and their tares will not be found.
Glory: As you, O Lady, commanded, having ascended the walls, to drive away the robbers, so strengthen us on the quadrupeds of courage and truth, wisdom and chastity, so that we may repel the fighting us.
And now: Just as You, O Virgin, propitiated Your Son, being angry with those who exist in Vatopedi, so propitiate Him for us, who have fallen into many sins, for much more can motherly prayer to the mercy of the Lord.
