Irmos: Everyone was terrified of Your Divine glory: For You, the unartificed Virgin, had in your womb God above all, and You gave birth to the Flightless Son, to all who sang Your praises, world giver.
Most Holy Theotokos, save us.
The priest was horrified when he heard a voice from heaven, strengthening the passion-bearers of Zograf, and promising them a reward in heaven, both without repenting, but like asps of deafness, uncorrected by remaining in their error.
Most Holy Theotokos, save us.
You don’t know what kind of spirit you are, Latina! Even though you preach the Gospel of Christ, why do you kill and burn those who do not listen to you, servants of the Mother of God? Christ did not command His disciples to do such things.
Glory: Hear, Latin, and be ashamed! Even if your teaching were right, and your zeal for the faith of Christ was pleasing to God, the Queen of Heaven, through Her icon, would not have called you enemies of Her Son.
And now: Falling before Thy holy icon, O Virgin, I cry out to Thee from my contrite heart: do not allow us to fall into the snare of heretics, O Lady of the All-Merciful, but in Orthodoxy until the end strengthen us in the life of our being.
