Irmos: Christ is my strength,/ God and Lord,/ the honest Church/ sings divinely, crying out/ from a pure meaning, celebrating in the Lord.
Irmos: “Christ is my strength,/ God and Lord,”/ the Holy Church reverently sings, proclaiming,/ from pure reason/ triumphant in the Lord.

Chorus: Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me.
Chorus: Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me!

The path here is wide and pleasing to create sweets, / but it will be bitter on the last day, / when the soul will be separated from the body; / beware of these, men, the Kingdom for the sake of God.
The path here is broad/ and it is easy to do pleasant things,/ but it will be bitter on the last day,/ when the soul and body will be separated!/ Save yourself from this, man,/ for the sake of the Kingdom of God!

Chorus: Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me.
Chorus: Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me!

Why do you foolishly create lust and fornication,/ are you captivated by the sweets of this world,/ do you trample on a parent’s love/ and kill your defenseless child?/ Repent, my soul, of the Kingdom for God's sake.
Why do you commit lust and fornication in madness, / are you captivated by the sinful pleasures of this world, / do you trample on your parents’ love, / and kill your defenseless child? / Therefore, bring repentance, my soul, for the sake of the Kingdom of God!

Glory: Oh, foolish man, / how long will you scatter like a bee, gathering your wealth? / Soon it will perish like dust and ashes; / but seek more the Kingdom of God.
Glory: O foolish man!/How long will you bog down like a bee/gathering your wealth?/After all, it will soon perish like dust and ashes;/but first seek the Kingdom of God.

And now: Theotokos: Mother of God, have mercy on me, a sinner,/ and strengthen me in virtue,/ and keep me, so that insolent death does not snatch me away, unprepared,/ and bring me, O Virgin, to the Kingdom God's.
And now: Madam Mother of God! Have mercy on me, a sinner, / and strengthen me in virtue, / and save me, so that sudden death / does not snatch me, unprepared, / and bring me, Virgin, to the Kingdom of God!
