Irmos: Open the wombs of the unsatisfied bonds, / the unbearable annoyance of the blessed, / one prayer of the ancient prophetess Anna, / bearing a broken spirit, / to the Mighty One and the God of Minds.

Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee.

Of Thy goodness, O Holy Trinity, there is great knowledge, / the renewal of that which was created in Thy Divine image, / Whose incarnation is more wonderful from Thee than words, / Thou hast shown Thee a Divine dwelling.

Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee.

With the gifts of Thy saints and the thoughts of sacred reverence, O Lord, / adorn my mind, / so that in the silence of the soul and the holy dispensation / I sing and glorify Thee, the Divine Paraclete.

Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee.

Secret carnal movements, / born in me from proud passion / and most desecrating my accursed soul, / destroy from here, Lord, pray.

Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee.

With the bridle and bridle of Divine fear, O Master,/ draw up my cold-free soul’s aspirations,/ as if with great reverence and sober thought/ I sing and glorify Thee, O Divine Comforter.

Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee.

Having been corrupted by many fornications, of course,/ I flow to You, the Most Bright Sun, by faith:/ Will you please to enlighten my spiritual eyes with your divine light,/ Divine Paraclete.

Glory: Like the Nourisher of all, O Lady, / to revive my soul, which had been killed by foul passions, O Pure One, / by Thy divine visitation.

And now: The life-giving commandments of Your Son, O Most Pure One, / show me the diligent and hasty workman, / having destroyed fierce laziness and deep slumber from my soul.

Also say these verses:

Save Thy servant from troubles, O Good Comforter, / as the evil spirits of the devil vehemently and incessantly attack me / with nasty thoughts and dreams.

Look with Compassion, O All-Sung Mother of God, / on the hard petrification of my heart / and enlighten the darkness of my soul.
