Mercy stood still in the hearts of three youths: Glory be, the flame enflames three young men.

O Soul/Spirit of our God, blessed art Thou.

Blessed be Thou, Lord, our God, praised and glorified be Thy name for ever.

Thou art the Beginning, O Lord, who hast created us all, and Thy works are true and righteous, and Thy ways and judgments true.

And truly Thou hast judged all by the truth, since Thou didst bring upon us and upon the holy city our priests: for truly Thou hast brought upon us all our sin by judgment.

We have sinned and have acted unlawfully by departing from Thee, and we have grievously sinned in all things.

And we have not kept thy commandments, nor observed them, nor fulfilled them, as thou commandedst us, that good might come to us.

And all things, wherewith Thou hast created us, and all things, whatsoever Thou hast brought upon us, by a true judgment hast Thou wrought, O Lord.

And Thou didst deliver us into the hands of wicked lawless enemies, and unto a king unjust and more crafty than all the earth.

And now there is not for us to plead, nor study and affliction have we suffered as thy servants and them that seek thee.

Let not our soul reach the uttermost end in Thy name, and let not the covenant of Thy name be profaned.

And I, not leaving Thee without, for Abraham's sake beloved by Thee, and for Isaac, Thy servant, and Jesus Christ Thy holy one:

And Thou hast said: To multiply them, as the stars of heaven, and as the sand upon the shore of the sea.

Alas, Master, we have sinned more than all languages, and we are humble today on behalf of our sins throughout the whole earth.

There is no prince, prophet, or commander in the time thereof: neither burnt offering, nor sacrifice, nor oblation, nor incense, nor place where anything is to be eaten before Thee, and we shall find mercy.

But with a broken spirit and a humble soul let us receive.

As in all our burnt offerings and young bulls, and as the lamb in the dark: may our sacrifice today before Thee be accepted, and may it be accomplished according to Thy will, for there is no delay for those who hope on Thee.

And now we follow all with our whole heart, for we fear Thee and seek Thy face.

Let not Thy glory be dishonored by us, but work in us according to Thy meekness and the multitude of Thy mercies.

Transform us by Thy wonders, and grant unto His name glory, Lord.

And may all who rule by thy servants be confounded, and may they be ashamed from every power, and the strength of theirs be crushed.

And let them understand, for Thou art the Lord God alone, and glorious throughout all the world.

And the servants of the King did not cease to pour out upon them, by means of a reed and with naphtha, and with pitch, and with fire.

And let the flame be kindled over the abyss on the milk of forty-nine.

And ye shall seek and find, O ye people of Chaldees.

And the Angel also came down in compunction with them that were present at the feast.

And let there shake forth a fiery flame from the rock,

And Thou hast created the midst of the waters, because the Spirit moveth upon them: and they shall not touch one another with fire, nor grieve them beneath.

Then three together in one went forth, and blessed, and glorified God in the cave, saying:

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down and wept, remembering Thee, O Youth.

Blessed art thou, Lord, our God, Jesus Christ, most venerable and highly exalted for ever.

Blessed be the glory of Thee, O Holy One, reverenced and lifted up for ever.

Blessed art thou in the house of thy glory, O Venerable, praised and exalted for ever.

Blessed art thou, O Seeing the Void, Sitting upon the Cherubim, Praised and Lifted Up for Ages Eternally.

Blessed art thou, O Lord, upon the throne of glory, thy creation, Venerable and exalted for ever.

Blessed art thou on the heights heavenlier, O venerable and exalted for ever.

Glory, and now:
